A few weeks back we stopped by Spoke and Stringer in Bristol for a coffee and some inspiration. Great food, highly recommend if you're in Bristol and hungry!

Getting to work on the re-shape of the tail while I wait for some help sorting the swing arm out. Now I have it sticking up in the air I kind of wish it was a #scambler! Maybe that should be the next project. This “winter” project has dragged along quite a bit, it’s nearly spring and I’m still cutting and working things out, but along the way I’ve come up with countless mini projects spawned from this one, from speedometers to custom brake switches, so I’m happy to take it slow and hopefully build a nice little range of customs. In the spirit of customising fuel tanks, check out this great edit from Mike Watt.

Murray's Brewing in collaboration with Sol Invictus Motorcycles worked with Sydney Illustrator and Artist Mike Watt at Redfern's Bearded Tit to transform a custom Mercury Motorcycle through the use of hand painted characters and labels mirrored from the Murray's Brewing selection.

It’s been a quiet few weeks on the bike front, all will become clear in the next few months, but exciting things are happening!

Bit of a slow week with the RS200, but the front end is in pieces now, made a few videos that need editing up, starting working on where I'll be cutting the frame for the hoop and the handlebars have been de-rusted and primered, but I'm thinking I should powder coat them after all. Actually quite a bit done then after all!

Sick bikes of the week!

First up, a Honda CB1100 by Dimitri Bez via @saint_motors on Instagram. Looks like a render though, but if it doesn’t exist, I hope it does at some point!

Then we have a Yamaha XJ650 by @eastern_spirit_garage on Instagram, via @maverickmotorcycles, just love the simplicity of the shite and brown on black frame, and the sweet custom rear end.

Greasy Friday in the garage, getting the bike a little further along, oil out tomorrow and start grinding the frame, then it's off to the powder coaters hopefully, or I'll be patch welding, depending on what I find! I decided to knock it on the head tonight shortly after the gloves did!

Outstanding work by Magpul with their Ronin project. Awesome bike and a really interesting take on how to release different models over time with different themes with each batch... watch this space...

A look at some of the rust close up here. It looks superficial at first, but the seat handle sheared clean off yesterday while I lifted it onto the frame stand! The seat area seems to be the worst though. 
You don’t see many custom #RS200’s out there so forgive me if I over post the details on this one!
