I feel like Shane loves seeing the Metros (and eventually Centaurs) massage therapist.
I know some people think Shane is touch adverse but we know he likes rough sex. I feel like getting a massage would be a similar experience. He knows what to expect and he definitely likes getting pulled and stretched out.
If the team had a big win and Shane took some good hits, he’s getting a massage. If the team had a brutal lose, he's getting a massage. Everyone who works with the players know that the team's captain needs his deep tissue massage and you shouldn't dare interrupt.
During the Rose-era I imagine he got them even more frequently as his playing got more physical and they helped him cope with the tension.
Sylvia is one of the only characters that hasn’t been proven to be reconditioned. Literally everyone else is in the reconditioning montage during Sleep (Gerard, Ray, Mikey, Frank, DS, the other Clerk, the Dictator, the “Secretary” woman, etc.)
Which has me believing she’s really the one in charge.

Tbh I don't think we are getting another MCR album and I'm not upset about that! I don't think its cause of the fans or the leaks or anything like that, I think the members have simply moved on. Frank has his own music and Gerard and Mikey have their art. Ray is enjoying his privacy.
If you don't want to listen to leaks I respect that opinion but I'm not going to fault anyone for listening to it because I simply do not have hope for MCR5 and they exist publicly. Tbh I think even if we did get an MCR5 it would be buns.
I'm not a blind MCR fan, sorry y'all!

Edit: The Clerk and Gerard playing in the outline of The Clerk's body before Sleep is interesting. They have this pleasant interaction and then Sleep starts playing and what the narrator says ("this is the worst day of your life, but the first day of yourself"). During Sleep we have this very intense flashing collage of TV screens. Is Sleep Gerard during reconditioning saying he isn't sorry for the future rebellion and his sexuality? If it was the worst day of his life but the first of being himself, did The Clerk and Gerard somewhat plan the rebellion during MOAT? I'm cooking y'all!

My thoughts on the Seattle 2025 Show [see the footage first if you haven't already]
I didn't like the MCR show. There I said it! I've seen the clips and I've tried to understand the lore but it just falls flat for me. I get political commentary before someone tries to come for me. I am very aware of the band's history (it's my special interest) but the first show just doesn't resonate with me.
It feels weird seeing all these references to political assassinations, terrorism, government conspiracies, etc. while the band's ticket were ridiculously expensive and while a very put together, the show itself clearly cost a lot to put on.
America is barreling towards Hell. The average person can barely afford to survive let alone enjoy any hobby or show. Seeing all these references like the clown exploding, the kidnapping, and Gerard getting stabbed while things like that are literally happening (or have happened) under our noses and with our tax dollars just makes me feel weird.
It makes me question what the message is. Is it just them mocking the current situation (I highly doubt this)? Is it meant to shock us? Be inspiring? WHAT DOES IT MEAN!? [There is hopefully more lore to this all!]
And what exactly is the lore? MCR stuck in a repressive regime? Makes sense. Dying because of a lack of governmental care? Makes sense, very contemporary. Failed rebellions? Ties in Danger Days, I can fuck with it!
If you like it or better understand the lore then that's great. This is my personal opinion.
Also don't come for me about politics when I literally am a poli sci major and the child of refugees, trust me- I see it- I just don't feel it

While an outcast/werido, he has closer connections to the preps and jocks which causes tension at times
Constantly in trouble at school for pulling pranks, getting in fights, and skipping class
Like Mikey, his love life is uh interesting

I love when people write Illi like she’d be some weak, fragile girl. I don’t care about the headcannon of the character like creating her but I don’t think people have really watched the music video. They were about to fight those preps at the end. She’s absolutely not some sensitive, shy girl.
Think about going to a private, preppy high school everyday as an outcast. Sure, you could become a shy kid trying to fly under the radar and get by but the music video tells us that Illi and her friends are not that type of weird kid. They pull pranks and interact with other students. We even see Frank have a romantic relationship with a prep!
It’s disheartening frankly to constantly see trans characters written as “soft, sensitive babies” and like they can’t have logical personality responses (being closed off, being quick to respond with anger or violence, etc.) to being treated hostilely their whole lives.
Anyways all that to say here are some of my thoughts about her:

Rant about Throam
I cannot and will not ever finish that God awful fanfic. The plot is just sadness and despair on repeat. I read volume one and tried to read volume two but I refuse!
Things go downhill and then we slowly recover but then something else happens and it’s somehow worse than the original plot point. Why am I being tortured repeatedly? And what are these plot twists?
Like I read A Splitting of the Mind and it genuinely was a wild experience but Throam tops that. Y’all talk about Milk Fic as the “shock fic” of the emo scene but no, it’s Throam!
I wish I could love it but I’m sorry the repeat tragedies is just too much. Maybe I got my fill with Splitting.
Asking for folks for their opinion on this because to me, they are brother and sister still but I'm not sure if the fandom has other opinions. I want to plan out fan fics.
