I love when people write Illi like she’d be some weak, fragile girl. I don’t care about the headcannon of the character like creating her but I don’t think people have really watched the music video. They were about to fight those preps at the end. She’s absolutely not some sensitive, shy girl.
Think about going to a private, preppy high school everyday as an outcast. Sure, you could become a shy kid trying to fly under the radar and get by but the music video tells us that Illi and her friends are not that type of weird kid. They pull pranks and interact with other students. We even see Frank have a romantic relationship with a prep!
It’s disheartening frankly to constantly see trans characters written as “soft, sensitive babies” and like they can’t have logical personality responses (being closed off, being quick to respond with anger or violence, etc.) to being treated hostilely their whole lives.
Anyways all that to say here are some of my thoughts about her:
Trans femme (she/they), bisexual
Interests: drawing, punk, rock, hardcore music, science, dnd, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria (horror movies), Harry Houdini, and croquet
Does art commissions for extra cash
Smart (both "street smart" and academically), doesn’t try in school
Always getting dentition for fighting, arguments, and talking back to teachers
Works at an oddities store after school
Usually at school, the store, at comic and/or book stores, at shows, or in her room.
