Jaime Pressly -
By Stephen Wayda For Playboy (1998
The voluptuous all-natural phenomenon known as Petra Verkaik had been featured by Playboy in over 40 videos, monthlies and newsstand specials by the time Pin-Up Girls, her first internet collaboration, debuted in 1996.
A little over a year later in September 1997, Petra released a home video called Centerfold Fantasies that is still hailed by admirers as an all-time classic.
So on the momentum of her rising popularity, the talented Ms. Verkaik went solo and launched PetraCentral in January 1999. Petra was 32 years old at the time and competing with girls throughout the Web who were at least 10 years younger than she, but it didn’t matter.
Hundreds, if not thousands of models came and went, but Petra effortlessly occupied the throne as queen of the internet glamour mountain for most of her website’s nearly 23-year run.
Memorably the very first set, entitled “Silver Shoes” (pictured above), set the tone for what could be expected for years to come.
Thanks for everything, Petra — no one will ever surpass you.
