I picked up working on the solo journaling TTRPG I made back in like 2022 recently. It combined some features I really enjoyed from other solo journalling TTRPGs like using a tarot deck to draw prompts but can also be played with a random number generator + normal playing cards, or dice if you like suffering/shiny math rocks.
The last thing I need to do before I can push the update with pre-written prompts for all the minor arcana is the fucking Wands and for some reason writing Wand prompts is even worse than writing the Coins prompts were. Possibly because I lost a little bit of what I intended Wands to be. Every minor arcana got two themes with the Cups and Swords to be about the player character and/or the present, and Coins and Wands to be about the worldbuilding and the past/future respectively.
On the worldbuilding side, Coins are supposed to be more about the physical, mundane parts of the world, and Wands were supposed to be about the supernatural laws ("Fire of Creation") which the player character is a vehicle for "discovering." Yes this is a game entirely about making a fucked up little scholar to help you worldbuild with.
I may need to go back and rebalance some of the prompts, though, especially for what you're supposed to do when you land on a prompt that requires you to convert more Marks/Truths to Truths/Marks than you have or if that's an instant game over. I haven't gotten many people to playtest it, though I've played about 4 full games myself and done a dozen runthroughs just to see if the balance is like tolerable. They have more fun effects like "keep this card to save yourself from critical unbalance once" or "instantly fucking die" which I've definitely drawn as my first or second card before haha. If you want to play it as it is right now, it's (always) free and is 1 page, back and front, for the 1 Page RPG Jam 2022.
