I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare
cats always step precisely on your most sensitive areas when theyre crawling on you lovingly for cuddles. bladder dick ovaries boobs stomach bruise it doesnt matter. they have homing devices on their paws for the exact area you’re most tender at the moment and they put their full weight into that step. and sometimes they might keep their stance midstride so theyre just standing there forever forcing you to endure the pain. because they are simply too cute to get mad at
I had a funny realisation that my partner and I are the same person but in a different colour scheme
genuine writers getting wrongly accused of using ai because of witch hunt and proper grammar/structure in their works must be what being a woman in the 1600s who is wrongly accused of being a witch because she can read and is intelligent feels like

i do think lobbying for data centres over climate goals should be considered a crime against humanity btw
It's so funny to me how people mock Caroline Bingley's social position while forgetting that if Caroline is so lowly and tainted by trade, her brother Charles would be too. If Caroline was unworthy of marrying Darcy (she isn't) than Darcy would not be staying at Charles's rented estate. "But friendship!" Please read Emma. Mr. Knightley might esteem Robert Martin, but he would never dine with him. He would never marry Robert Martin's sister. When Harriet marries Robert Martin, Emma and Harriet's friendship dies and becomes a relationship of distant respect.
In the upper classes of the Regency era, your friends were people you could theoretically marry. You visited people you could marry. Darcy wants his sister to marry Charles and that means it's possible for him to marry Caroline. You cannot have Darcy and Bingley as close friends unless they were close enough in social status for their families to intermarry. Caroline can't be disgusting trade trash if Charles is a particular friend. You cannot have it both ways.

idk man. i just think itd be really cool if sign language classes were mandatory throughout primary school. yeah because it would make communication with deaf kids and autistic/nonverbal kids much easier. and those kids would be accessible to the others so they could make friends and have healthy relationships. yeah. and kids would eat that shit up man. like their own little secret language? they love that.
Also! Besides the fact that it's extremely important for accessibility and communicating with disabled people (although that should be enough to teach it in schools anyway), imagine how useful it would be for everyone if sign language was a standard skill that people were expected to know, the same as reading and writing.
Construction workers would be able to communicate effortlessly, even with loud equipment running. The same goes for chefs, people who work with animals, mechanics, or literally anyone else who works in loud environments. You could have full conversations while someone in the house is sleeping, with no fear of waking them up. You could talk at a restaurant or a bar or a party without issue, even with loud music playing or multiple conversations happening at once. If your microphone or speakers stop working on a zoom meeting you could explain/fix the problem without issue. People who loose their hearing with age wouldn't have to learn a whole new language, nor would they loose the ability to communicate easily with their loved ones–it would already be second nature.
Imagine how amazing this world would be. Imagine how accessible it would be.
