You had wandered off into one of those huge sections again. You sigh to yourself. “So not rahd.” you mumbled as you looked around for things. You eventually hear  Nepeta calling out for you as you left the section. “I’M OVER HERE, NEPETAH!” you call back, to look for her, yet again.

You hear her voice, on your way to her (or where you believed her to be) you knocked over a tower of jars. You are beginning to get a bit frustrated, when you finaly find her you grab her hand and quicky leave the store. A angry store clerk is shouting at you because had to rebuild the whole tower of jars again, when you hear him you start running. You look back at Latula, she has the biggest wtf face you have ever seen. 

You stop with running after a while, and let go of Latulas hand. “uh… sorry about that, i knocked ofer some jars and i broke a few.” And if you stayed there you would have to pay for those, and even if you wanted to you can’t because you don’t have any bells.

You grin. "Well, then, Nepetah...run." You take her hand again and run from the clerks and managers. "Come on, Nepetah! We gottah go, go, go! Before they cahtch us!"

Your face hardened. Yes, you knew Meulin. “Yeahh. She’s…okay, if deahf and hyper is your thing. Her nahme is Meulin. I don’t remember how old she is…and she loves ships. She mimes a lot, especiahlly with Kurloz.” Your mask of ‘I don’t really care’ dropped, and you folded your arms. “Yeah.”

She didn’t seemed to like talking about your ancestor. You wonder who Kurloz is, but you deside it’s better not ask about her friends anymore.  ”So do you want to know something about my furriends?”

“GAHMES.” you squealed as you weaved in and out of random game stores. Wow, there were so many games. Here and there. No bells. UGH. You’re really stupid for not bringing any. Even the Message on the Bulletin Board said you should always bring your bells with you. “Here! Over here! Ahnd AHGH! Ahn ahrcahde!” You ranted about the arcade for a while, and then, you saw it. 

“Oh. My. God.” 

Your face lit up as you saw something utterly amazing.

“It’s. Ah. Depahrtment. Store.” you say. “You cahn get EVERYTHING here!” You jump up and down. “Depahrtment store, depahrtment store! You cahn buy pahint ahnd cahnvahs from here, Nepetah!”

You let the happy Latula drag you inside the store, but at the same time you hear a little voice in your head yelling ”traitor!”. You could just buy everything you need from Karkat… exept food, but the fruits and fish is enough for you.

When you are in the Art section of the store you look at the paint they have in store, they even have colours that don’t belong in the hemospectrum. It gives you an uneasy feeling, the only colours outside of the hemospectrum you use are black, white, bright red or a dark hue of blue. Not that you hate the other colours, maybe you should start using colours outside of the hemospectrum.

You look around you, … you lost her, great just great. 

“Latula? where are you! OI! ARE YOU THERE!?” You stop yelling like a Vantas Lunatic and start looking for her.

As you two climb out from the very awkward cab drive, you suck in a gulp of air. “City ahir! You cahn never get ahnything better thahn city ahir!” you sing. “It’ hahirdressers ahnd movie theahtres! Ahnd shops ahnd things! I don’t remember bringing bells, but whahtever! We cahn window shop.” You are a big fan of shopping…for video games! “Let’s go!”

And the next thing you know is that you’re being dragged into the first gamestore you encounter. You like playing games but you rather just go outside and have your own adventures. You just wait untill Latula remembers that she hasn’t got any bells to buy something with. And then you are dragged out of the store again, while you are walking Latula talks about an arcade somewhere in the city. She really knows her way in the city, you wonder how much she has been here already. You walk past the theather, it seems dr. Rose is going to give some kind of show about emotions today, you aren’t really interested in that tough.

Latula stopped walking and talking about the arcade, well… You weren’t really listening to that anyway. “Are we there?” you weren’t really sure why she stopped because it didn’t really look like you were at the arcade yet.

You stop the cab and step in it together with Latula. Of you go, to the city.

What had two wheels, a bike? Or- “Can´t she walk?”, you asked, thinking of when Tavros was half paralized and had to be in a wheelchair. You still had no idea why she was snickering and laughing though.

Too Much Time on Their Hands

Latula stared out of her window, her eyes lighting up. "Soon." She turned back and went outside. She could skate, if only for a while, or she could wait for the sun to rise over the horizon or whatever. 'Sides, she wasn't going to stay that long. She could go to the city by bus or something... Catch the guy who teaches emotions... She could go out, fish, buy fruits, do whatever. She had too much time on her hands.

“i used to hafe a fruriend… well he was my meowrail, i think this job would be purrfect fur him. I hafn’t seen him in a while tough, i kind of miss him.” You pour in a cup of coffee for yourself, jump over the bar and sit down next to Latula.

The Rooooost.

It’s late and you are still in the museum. The museum is open 24 hours a day and there has to always be someone there and ever since Aradia decided to take a second job at the crabshack you have to be here even longer. You are really really tired, you had to help Latula with her “project” all day.

At the moment you are in the roost, no one else took the job yet so the boss (the owner of the museum we will never see or ever hear of again) said you have to take care of the roost for now. There’s no one exept for the green cab driver guy. You dislike this guy, he always tries to hit on you. There are usually more people in the roost on saturdays, then that guy D.V. Strider is here. 

Suddenly you hear the door creak. You perk up and look over your shoulder to see who visits the cafe at this hour.

“You’ll help?! Thaht’s freahking rahdicahl! First off, mahybe we could recruit Ahrahdiah to help, is fill up the holes in this plahce. So, the museum could hahve the things, ahnd I could have smooth ground to skate on! Mahke sense?”

You’re strangely excited. You don’t know why.

Espesially for you because you fell in them the whole time. “Yeah maybe if we asked her to fill up the holes she digs this plase will become more “r4d1c4l”” She looks really excited about this, for some reason it actually makes you excited too.  ”* nepeta stands up furom her seat* Maybe we can also pimp this place up with some of my art!”  maybe some graffiti would cheer up the place.

“Treez. I heahrd thaht if you shook a certahin tree, things would come out.” you say happily. “Ahlso, the CrahbShahck needs ahn upgrahde, if I do sahy so myself.” You nod. “It’s sahd there’s only one fruit here…”

“Well, I think it’s time to put this plan in action!” you say ” maybe you can get some plants and trees furrom Karcat fur free! becaues you work there now.” so what else do you need, oh you need graffiti… or just paint you guess you can use that too. “And i will get some paint fur the graffiti. I wonder what we should paint,  maybe we can paint the crabshack so it would look less like a crapshack.

“hee hee okay we’ll meet infront of the townhall” you leave her for now to get the paint from your house. Latula seemed very happy to go to the crabshack, she must really like her work there. Now you think of it she always seems happy. Later you see her again infront off the crabshack with 3 bags full of seeds for flowers and trees.

“Nepetah!” you call her over. “I’ve got the things!” You’re excited to start making this town that much prettier. You can see she has the paint. “I’ll try to get Ahrahdiah into this too, I hahven’t tahlked to her yet. Mahybe she’ll find us or something.” you say, a little disappointed with yourself. You soon brighten up again. “Well, we’ll do whaht we cahn first, right?”

“Indeed,  so what do we do first? … how about we first plant some trees!” you had /borrowed/ a shovel from the crabshack earlier, but you where going to give it back. “*Nepeta starts digging a few holes here and there*” while Latula plants the trees, this takes the two of you half of the day. “well… i wonder how long it takes fur these things to grow…” you say when you look down at one of the many saplings you planted around town. Next up is the paint, you where thinking of painting your own roof but you gues that will just give problems with karkat. ” what should we paint?”

“Hm…” You look up at the town hall. “How ahbout…thaht?” You point at it, running over and inspecting it. “Ahn empty wahll would be nice…” You eventually find one, on the side of it. “We could…do some rahdicahl pahinting here. Or we could ahlwahys pahint the trees. Your choice.”

“*nepeta looks at the townhall* No the trees arend big enough yet. Lets just start by painting the townhall.” you walk over to an empty wall and start painting things. Latula soon follows your lead, but unlike you she grabs a jar of paint and splashes it on the wall. In the end it was a big yet colerfull mess, you used all the colours off the hemospectrum and also some really bright red because you tought it would look nice.

You really loved how it looked, maybe for some too colerful but you loved it. You look at Latula, you can see shes trying not to laugh for some reason. Then you notice both of you are entierly covered in paint and you can’t help but giggle. “I got to say, you look furry r4d with your face all cofered in blue.”

“Hahhahhahh!” You laugh, grinning. She’s covered completely in olive green, all over her face. You can see it. Lifting your glasses and throwing them to the side, you grab a handful of paint and throw it at her. You plaster a grin on your face and continue to throw paint at everything. The trees, the floor, the walls, Nepeta and yourself. “Pahint fight!” you shout.

You are happy that you wear old clothes and desided to leave your hat at home today. You grab a paintbrush and go in full attack, before you know it both of you are colored like a rainbow and your fight has moved to another place. You can see a path of paint all way from the town hall to …  well the crabshack. One of it’s walls is all covered in paint splatters, so you quickly grab Latulas hand and get the fuck away from there.

“Ooh, shit shit shit, Kahrklez is going to be mahd.” you say as you run off with Nepeta. You’re covered in green, teal, and candy red. Ooh, candy red. Pretty colour. You arrive at the town hall where the grafitti was. “Ahh, we’re sahfe now,” you say, calmer. Phew, that was a close one. ((And somewhere in the distance, there were ghost butts.))

You are happy that you wear old clothes and desided to leave your hat at home today. You grab a paintbrush and go in full attack, before you know it both of you are colored like a rainbow and your fight has moved to another place. You can see a path of paint all way from the town hall to …  well the crabshack. One of it’s walls is all covered in paint splatters, so you quickly grab Latulas hand and get the fuck away from there.

"Ooh, shit shit shit, Kahrklez is going to be mahd." you say as you run off with Nepeta. You're covered in green, teal, and candy red. Ooh, candy red. Pretty colour. You arrive at the town hall where the grafitti was. "Ahh, we're sahfe now," you say, calmer. Phew, that was a close one. ((And somewhere in the distance, there were ghost butts.))

“You’ll help?! Thaht’s freahking rahdicahl! First off, mahybe we could recruit Ahrahdiah to help, is fill up the holes in this plahce. So, the museum could hahve the things, ahnd I could have smooth ground to skate on! Mahke sense?”

You’re strangely excited. You don’t know why.

Even if you don’t skate you still agree on this one, the holes kind off got a huge problem. Espesially for you because you fell in them the whole time. “Yeah maybe if we asked her to fill up the holes she digs this plase will become more “r4d1c4l”” She looks really excited about this, for some reason it actually makes you excited too.  ”* nepeta stands up furom her seat* Maybe we can also pimp this place up with some of my art!”  maybe some graffiti would cheer up the place.

“You’re getting it, you’re getting it!” you cheer, clapping. “A little grahfitti here and there wouldn’t hurt, would it?” You shrug and bounce around. “Mahybe…mahybe we should plahnt flowers or grahss or something.”

“i gues we could buy plants at the crap-shack, i mean uh… well … you know what i meant.” you look outside, you can see the crabShack from your house, it looks really small. You look around town ” and trees, with nice fruit in them.” All the trees here had the same fruit, kind off lame. Latula was right this place needs to become a lot more “r4d”

“Treez. I heahrd thaht if you shook a certahin tree, things would come out.” you say happily. “Ahlso, the CrahbShahck needs ahn upgrahde, if I do sahy so myself.” You nod. “It’s sahd there’s only one fruit here…”

“Well, I think it’s time to put this plan in action!” you say ” maybe you can get some plants and trees furrom Karcat fur free! becaues you work there now.” so what else do you need, oh you need graffiti… or just paint you guess you can use that too. “And i will get some paint fur the graffiti. I wonder what we should paint,  maybe we can paint the crabshack so it would look less like a crapshack.

“Yes! I will get the trees!” You stand up. “Well, I’ll just get Ahrahdiah to help, ahnd then the three of us could meet somewhere to discuss or something.” You bounce around a bit. Being the head of a project was strangely inspiring.

“hee hee okay we’ll meet infront of the townhall” you leave her for now to get the paint from your house. Latula seemed very happy to go to the crabshack, she must really like her work there. Now you think of it she always seems happy. Later you see her again infront off the crabshack with 3 bags full of seeds for flowers and trees.

“Nepetah!” you call her over. “I’ve got the things!” You’re excited to start making this town that much prettier. You can see she has the paint. “I’ll try to get Ahrahdiah into this too, I hahven’t tahlked to her yet. Mahybe she’ll find us or something.” you say, a little disappointed with yourself. You soon brighten up again. “Well, we’ll do whaht we cahn first, right?”

“Indeed,  so what do we do first? … how about we first plant some trees!” you had /borrowed/ a shovel from the crabshack earlier, but you where going to give it back. “*Nepeta starts digging a few holes here and there*” while Latula plants the trees, this takes the two of you half of the day. “well… i wonder how long it takes fur these things to grow…” you say when you look down at one of the many saplings you planted around town. Next up is the paint, you where thinking of painting your own roof but you gues that will just give problems with karkat. ” what should we paint?”

“Hm…” You look up at the town hall. “How ahbout…thaht?” You point at it, running over and inspecting it. “Ahn empty wahll would be nice…” You eventually find one, on the side of it. “We could…do some rahdicahl pahinting here. Or we could ahlwahys pahint the trees. Your choice.”

“*nepeta looks at the townhall* No the trees arend big enough yet. Lets just start by painting the townhall.” you walk over to an empty wall and start painting things. Latula soon follows your lead, but unlike you she grabs a jar of paint and splashes it on the wall. In the end it was a big yet colerfull mess, you used all the colours off the hemospectrum and also some really bright red because you tought it would look nice.

You really loved how it looked, maybe for some too colerful but you loved it. You look at Latula, you can see shes trying not to laugh for some reason. Then you notice both of you are entierly covered in paint and you can’t help but giggle. “I got to say, you look furry r4d with your face all cofered in blue.”

"Hahhahhahh!" You laugh, grinning. She's covered completely in olive green, all over her face. You can see it. Lifting your glasses and throwing them to the side, you grab a handful of paint and throw it at her. You plaster a grin on your face and continue to throw paint at everything. The trees, the floor, the walls, Nepeta and yourself. "Pahint fight!" you shout.

((Wow, I think I did this in 15 layers. I'm happy with myself. So if we ever do Humanstuck, I'll expand on this. Promise. I really hope I'm not clogging up your dash...))
