I have always believed that life is not what you’re given through luck of the draw but what you make of it. I know wealthy people who are sick and miserable and I know poor people who are happy and healthy. Money is not happiness. Happiness is a state that you allow or you pinch off through a negative, complaining mindset. I have my fair share of frustration, feeling annoyed and irritated and let me tell you I have done plenty of complaining. Even today while on vacation I had to deal with vendors, software companies and suppliers of services we use to run our marketing agency. But you know what? I know how to recognize this downward spiral into the negative tornado of despair. I know how to pull myself out of it and have trained myself to let that shit go. Releasing negative emotions is different for everyone but for me, it is quiet. Even if I have to go sit in a closet to get away from noise, TV, kids, electronics and other people, I will. I know I need separation and distance to create balance. After the stress of phone calls, emails and website issues today I’m lucky enough to step outside and let the ocean cleanse my senses. ✌️ Peace out, it’s date night with my fit friends from the gym. The ladies and I get together every month for a fun night of secret conversations and good food. We women need our tribe, am I right? I’m feeling super grateful for my hubs @ToddLaire who is holding the fort down while I’m gone. I’m also grateful for this super cute sweater I got last year with the ruffle back. Not only are the kids happy I made Pad Thai but SO AM I! I love Thai food and this one happens to be my husbands favorite. To bad he’s not home today to enjoy it! Sometimes the hardest part in walking toward your dreams is taking the first step.
