Flaurel is dead, isn’t it?

I’ve tried to remain in blissful ignorance, but every minute of this episode just made me more and more depressed. I’ve kept watching (albeit with low expectations) because I had faith that they wouldn’t leave endgame flaurel on a refused proposal and unfinished chemistry. But wow.

They are pushing Frank and Bonnie together when it’s unnatural, weird and absolutely not in-sync with either of their characters. Just because it might be cute if Charlie and Liza bring their relationship to the screen? Why else would they fuck this up so badly? I know Bonnie needs help and I have always loved the Bonnie/Frank ride-or-die friendship - but spooning and a flashback sex scene? That is not the brother/sister dynamic that best describes their relationship (aside from the weird pity fuck in S3). They are shoving it down our throats as if that’ll make us eat it up and I hate it.

Plus Laurel suddenly remembering how much she “loved” Wes, the rebound she used to get over Frank.

If flaurel doesn’t reunite by the end of this season, I’m feeling like I might be out too.

I could be convinced to stay if there was something else worth staying for - but pretty much everything else in this show is shit too. So. This ghost town of a fandom is about to crash and burn, Peter. And you only have yourself to thank.

I’m with you completely here. I wouldn’t be as worried/bothered by the spooning scene, if they didn’t add the completely unnecessary hookup scene in the flashback, because that now colors the spooning scene. And it really does feel like they are only doing it because Charlie and Liza are together, and I’m sorry, but that’s not how you write anything. Also, I don’t want to see it on screen. I hope they are very happy and I wish them the best, but I don’t need to see it.

I still just don’t understand how they can completely disregard all of season 4 and even some of the season 5. It just doesn’t make sense. It felt like before the winter break they were still circling each other and that could come back around (5x07 especially), but it feels like they took a hard turn out of nowhere at the premiere.

I’m also pissed because, in the timeline of the show, it’s been like 5 days since Miller’s death, so why are they trying to imply a romantic future for Frank and Bonnie already? The guy she loved and who loved her just died and she helped off him. Laurel has to forever grieve her rebound with Wes but they can start laying tracks for Bonk less than a week after the death? I just don’t get it.

Making them romantic just doesn’t make sense but we’re not getting anything from Frank and Laurel, so I really don’t know what to think. They barely even talk, so idk where they actually stand. And it bothers me because even in the premiere we had Frank saying “this is how right I know we are” and Laurel making it seem like she does want to be with him but “right now” she needs to focus on her son and school and isn’t ready for what he wants with her. I don’t know how that translated into Laurel now hates him and Frank will largely pretend she and his godson don’t exist and they aren’t even friends now.

I hate this show, I'm so angry that I hope there's no season six.

The worst writers in the world, even, have made people hate Laurel with her new attitude, I'm sorry for Karla that she has to read the way the writers have destroyed her character. And Frank and Bonnie, this is just Charlie and Liza's idea, I'm very disappointed especially about the writers and how weak they are, easy to influence. Now the story is too predictable, even the deaths. I would not be surprised if Frank proposes to Bonnie in the next episode. xD

It should not surprise the low ratings, Pete, you and your writers killed your own show and you can’t get away with.

this whole first half of the season was a predictable mess made worse by them breaking up flaurel for no reason then completely ignoring the fact they were ever together. someone call me when we get our endgame but i cba to put my energy into a show that the writers put 0 energy into themselves
