Character Quote: What's wrong with being confident?
biography –Laurel was born to loving parents in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father was in the army and her mother was a homemaker- working waitress jobs to help pay the bills. When she was 6. her father died overseas. The grief drove her mom to drugs and forming a serious addiction.
Her fathers parents were quick to pull Laurel out of her mothers care the second they knew of the neglect. It was a painful process, but overall the girl understood that mom wasn't able to take care of her like she needed to be taken care of. While she understood the situation-she was angry about it.
High school was when Laurel truly peaked. Puberty struck, boys came flocking and she didn't deny the attention. She liked it, actually. She was able to also do more with her love for dance. Having her grandparents putting her in classes since she was in 5th grade, the experience and her talent was a huge ticket for a minor scholarship to a performing arts school in Atlanta. While it was a major opportunity, Laurel's scholarship and financial aid didn't cover all of the cost for her degree. Waitressing jobs wouldn't cover class and cost of living. So, she did what she thought she had to do. She picked up a job dancing at a gentlemen's club. Though she's confident in herself and her sexuality, selling her body was not something was was proud of-so she keeps it to herself.
