Black Sheep • Gin Wigmore
Lauren Tatiana Patriarca, DOB: November 18, 1988 Song of choice: BBHMM; Rihanna or Black Sheep; Gin Wigmore Quote of choice: "Congratulations you're a disgrace." Zodiac sign: Scorpio
If the Lord don’t forgive me I’d still have my baby and my babe would have me When I was kissing on my baby And she put her love down soft and sweet In the lowland plot I was free Heaven and hell were words to me
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“Another act of kindness? I find hard to believe?” Sean kept his tone clean, non-combative.
“Frankly,” She touched his cheek. “I do not care what you call it. Just know when I get my hands on this place. If and when it comes down to it, I know it will. I’ll take care of Joseph, you’re lucky I have so many other matters to take care of,” That humor she was known for returned, and she stood to go find Evelynn somewhere in the big place, to save him from that Seth person.
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“I’ll possibly look into this.” Again speaking slower for her to comprehend him. “What stopped him?”
“Me.” She didn’t know if revealing that bit of information was more for her or him. But she had her reasons for stopping such a killing when every fiber in her wanted him dead. Possibly more than Vito, and someone took that moment from her. What really was holding her back, she didn’t know.
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“This is what Roberto is telling Joseph? That talk of theirs should be going well. ” Sean asked Lauren, he was thinking about it. However, she had not yet given him something concrete he could follow up on and there was always there other idea she was full of bullshit and doing what few did, waste his time.
“Possibly?” She nodded. “Probably not. He’s not about keeping the peace, he had every intention of killing Joseph months ago. This is what I’m telling you. You can take it or leave it. No one will pin this against you if I am right, and Liam does get outside help. Take a few of you out, hell...I hope for it, less work for yours truly.”
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“So you left them for me to deal with? Thanks….” She wasn’t entirely made of hot air, but she could have been onto something. He wouldn’t let her know that, or maybe he already gave that away – some parts of Sean wasn’t in a caring mood. He looked around them, thinking of the theories, but they were still so far down on the scale of threats to the family. “Go on.” he decided to listen to her, thinking what could it possibly hurt. “But before you start bouncing theories around, I know already they have nothing close to before, they don’t have any help either.”
“But they could get help--” If she didn’t hate Liam, she would. She knew she would help them easily give them the man power to take back Hell’s Kitchen and a few of their enemies. “I--we would never help them, just so you know. But I know a group of people that would give anything to see you all fall off the face of this earth. The Westies don’t have much to offer, but they have that one, one thing an enemy of yours wants. I’ve wanted it since I’ve been here. Let’s think out of the box..shall we. I could help them, they could help me, but honestly if I wanted to go that route I’d go for the Bonannio’s..”
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“And you feel obligated to pass along this information because you want to help us? Now of all times Patriarca want to offer us advice?” Saying it so incredibly slow, for her to understand how this came off to him. It was however satisfying to see he could get under her skin, by just being himself. With any luck she would give up whatever plan she had in mind because Sean wanted no part of it. “You would not have gotten this from his eyes alone.” he could spot a lie easy. “What did he say that has you scared, and now you want me to take care of it, that’s what you’re implying to me?”
She needed another glass full of wine to deal with this one. Where was that guy with the wine? “Fine. It was sometime ago. When we were talking and like every man here he decided to question what I was doing for my family.” Like Liam was someone special to listen to, but she was smarter, smarter than them she took his few words with her. Lauren swallowed down that bitterness. Sighing deeply, to recall that interaction with him.
“I’m use to people feeding me bullshit about not believing in my and my impressive abilities. It’s even funnier when your family does it. But when some low life disgusting Irish - decides to come to me speaking boldly, I could do two things?” She smiled again holding up two fingers. “Slit his throat and stand over him and watch as he takes his last breath. Or be smarter and listen to him, because you men love to boast about many things.” Her anger came through, and her eyes lit up. On fire, that interaction pissed her off all over again.
Crossing her arms, she calmed down. “Obviously I chose the latter. But how I wish I hadn’t.”
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
For the Patriarca’s to be considered the greatest anything…just a thought that crossed Sean’s mind. Sean saw that Joseph wasn’t any longer in his view and if anything, but anything was to go wrong, Sean would be alerted. “My job? I know people like Liam just like I know people like you. The Westies will die out within the year.” Speaking clearly, he didn’t bring down his voice if Liam heard him, oh well. “Why do you care about some barely put together gang in Brooklyn?”
That was the real question, they could be discussing so many other things and yet they were talking Westie gang politics? If she believed Liam could be a threat for her, then so be it, but Sean wasn’t thinking that way. Greatly disappointed if this was to be his first conversation with a Patriarca. “People like Liam do not cause me to worry about my job or my girlfriend, “
She tried to not show her annoyance, but that was almost impossible. All Italian men were impossible. “If you could get your head out of your ass, god you would not even see if someone was planning your very last breath would you? No of course not, your ego won’t allow it will it? People like me and you can and will eventually underestimate someone.” Muttering a few explicit insults in German and then Italian. “No they won’t Farrow and you know why, because they’ll be causing you and every other family here a great misery.” She finally smiled.

The answer came to him so effortlessly. Unfortunately for her his answer would always and forever be the same. His blue eyes met those determined brown ones. “No…” Without question. He spoke the words before she could finish her statement. Now, however Sean was with a smile on his face, thinking a change of subject could stop him from threatening her. “You were spying on Liam’s conversation? You heard something interesting I hope or was it a waste?”
As if she needed to interpret that answer, the solemn expression still on her face saying she took none of this seriously. Not as he. Something was taking up or over his mind and while she could have filled her mind with the Genovese planning something for her family, she pushed it off on Sean being the most competent one in the family. Always working, never playing. Lauren studied their people enough.
“Mostly Irish drunken jargon but his eyes. Watching his eyes are the most fun. Everytime he looks at one of us, they change.” Dangerous men like him and Sean always spoke with their eyes. You could get everything from them. If they were lying, being truthful, being faithful, everything was in there. “I think our Irish lad has a plan for total world domination,” Joking with Sean, she held her hand to stop him from speaking to finish her thoughts. He needed to hear her out. Lauren was to act out her part well. “Do you think they could ever get Hell’s Kitchen back? If they did, they could be a problem again.” Their stomping grounds, what made them notorious to those outside of New York. “I think they could, honestly I think they were wasting their time working under the Lucchase and Dave I think hired a few of them?” Not waiting to see if she was on the right path, like Sean would tell her if she were. “Honey, Liam is conspiring all of our deaths. Isn’t it your job to nip that problem in the start, or will it take for him putting knife to your girlfriends neck to get that message across?”

“Holding a grudge takes energy. Energy that I do not posses. You’re taking this ball thing too seriously, Patriarca, we’re not here, as in you and me, we’re not here to settle differences.” Sean was a no nonsense kind of person, small talk, he hated. So what Lauren was saying to him did not go at all far. It was more so insulting and waste of breath to even think he would be kind to someone he didn’t like. Already shaking his head to give her that answer that she should stop while she was ahead and further than he had liked to begin with. He pinched the bridge of his nose to relieve that tension that was building. “A few kind words will not be enough for us to start over. Not even close to working, but I’ll remember this moment of kindness. We’re even now?” He said in the most polite way.
That was a start wasn’t it? “I hope that you do remember? I swear it’s almost like you don’t remember what you did for me and my sister, and you take it lightly when I don’t. What was that last year, the year before?” She honestly forgot, because it had happened so often that people wanted her dead. “You chose not to kill me and my sister, Reese was a help that day. Where were you I did wonder once upon a time?” It had crossed her mind that maybe, perhaps Sean did not share the same thought process as Reese.
And it probably ate away at Sean every day of his life that he did not succeed in something. Lauren knew all too well the type that was Sean. The alpha male, and that underlying superior complex. Lauren touched the long stem of her glass, trying to get her mind to obey her mouth, she was so close to saying something else. “But none of that matters to you, not the act of kindness or anything. You still see me as your enemy? Smart move. And to correct you it takes energy to lift up this glass to my mouth as it takes energy to speak. Your excuse? You don’t like me, fine. But can’t you think of the good that could come from the combination of our brilliant minds? Because I do.” She answered bluntly.

His night did not start off as planned. He was late arriving to the Genovias Ball, had good reason, but that wasn’t what made sitting here a good test to his patience. To say Sean was tired would be an understatement. Hours in he had disappeared at some point to check in on Joseph since Christian could not attend. He was fine doing so, was use to it and because his priority was always to make sure everything went without the slightest hitch tonight. He’d feel better not having to trust in someone else to do a job he could flawlessly. Tonight there was a possibility that two powerful families could reach an agreement to put their difference aside and tackle something else that bothered him especially. That something was everything else. He made sure to stop by the other end of the dining table to kiss his girlfriend’s cheek and wish Mr. Child’s a nice evening. Mr. Childs was fairly safe to him, no one was gunning for the associates of families tonight. Instead the focus was upped, the consequences more drastic, terrible for them if caught.
They wouldn’t but that thought lingered in the back of his mind more and more as he looked at the empty seat that Penelope Gambino was suppose to be seated in. Mental note to check to see if Jackson had not drunk himself to death. He recalled Jennifer calling him a brat, surprised he was, oh how he wished she had given Jackson that same pep talk. “You were speaking to me. Patriarca?” By the thinnest grace he removed the edge from his voice, however that frown he felt growing with the seconds was showing how he really felt about her speaking to him. Someone had to babysit the daughter, didn’t they.
She was speaking to him, he finally rejoined this world to see they were left alone while others were off dancing on the open floor or lucky enough to go off and explore the estate away from people like them. Why would their first conversation be about Liam O’Connell? Unless she was just as exceptionally tolerant of him, Sean could only think he didn’t want to be shackled to her all night. People would pay for this. “The little guys have to start somewhere, don’t they? don’t put too much thought into it.” Liam being the little guy, the Westies were deplorable. Their influence was nonexistent. But even Sean had to admit, Liam attending tonight was a shock - he had to be out of his mind to think any of them would give his vision a second thought. The once mighty, not all that mighty, but they had fallen and still had yet to get up, in Sean’s world you were allowed a little time before you were just considered pathetic and pointless. To make tribute to them all, Liam and the rest of his gang, and even the few very few associates should just off themselves now. Their last jobs. “Why are your eyes on Liam and not your father and mother?” He questioned, dropping his fork on the plate.
Wiping the corners of her mouth, she felt she would have to reapply the dark plum lipstick to her full lips. She glared at Sean even harder. “I multitask.” Her accent fell out of her mouth evenly. “Some glances at my parents and some time spent reading the lips of Liam and his few that decided to join us.” Suddenly wondering how many Westies were alive today. “Relax? I don’t think you have to be on the edge of your seat while speaking to me, unless it is you that is hiding something. We can discuss that instead?” She smiled sweetly, thinking she wished they would try her. This Rami Kadi dress meant nothing. Although beautiful with it’s rich teal colour and gold accents around her waist and neck. Oh - she was perfect and so was she in this dress and she’d be damned if someone ruined it for her. They would just die at her hands.
“Don’t tell me you’re still holding onto some grudge? I’m the one that should be upset, here fuming? But look at me, talking to my enemy. Drinking wine, eating, if we were going to kill one another I would think you would have done it already but since you haven’t that means..all hope is not lost..” They will play nice for the evening, she had decided they will. “A formal start over would be nice? I can’t hate you entirely when a member of your family is the reason I’m still alive?”
Fire and Ice / Sean & Lauren
“No, no thank you, I’ll be hanging off the chandeliers if I have another glass.” She answered to the servant that went down the line asking the other invited if they wanted a refill of the expensive, yet dry, flat wine choice. If you asked Lauren, but she was being complacent and kind, and fake. Finishing up the last few sips she peered over her left shoulder seeing her mother and father master the gift of tolerance. Something she learned not from her father but her mother. That was the only thing that stopped Roberto from ripping out the throat of that Genovese. Lauren had to stop the profane thoughts from overpowering her, emotions settling in; she could feel her lips tugging at the corners. --Lauren for the most part kept a small talk going with her table mates, if she could call them that? These people were not her friends or anything close to what you could call an associate. The Childs clan, nice people but Lauren still thought they were on the wrong side.
The Colomba daughter, whom she thought was a breath of fresh air in that family. Something about that girl she liked, but could not place a finger on. There was Evelynn, her good friend and her date Seth, a troubling fellow she determined. The no show of that Gambino. Lastly, the Farrow, the only Farrow that was in attendance. She could feel the thick tension alone passing from him to her. They would bump heads the entire night wouldn’t they? All the times she tried to speak to Sean as he arrived late, one thing Lauren did not condone, it was utmost disrespect. Even though he was gracious enough to apologise for doing so. He wouldn’t get points for that.
“So what do you think?” When they were at the table alone, finally. She tried again to see if she could get an answer out the the infamous Farrow. Her parents may have been in the company of savages, but she would have her chance at fun. It was only fair. “Of this, specifically Liam O’Connell attending something Jack would probably be rolling in his grave over. Or where ever that man is,” Hell is what she imagined, but that would be rude to say - behind Liam’s back which is what she saw when turning to look over her right shoulder. Propping her head up with her free hand, forgetting her manners for a sec, she rudely stared at Sean until he gave her something. A look, a roll of the eyes. Batting those long lashes of hers to add insult to injury.
