Found a little row of sit down phone booths to hang in while I wait to board my delayed flight. Off again. Austin bound. (It's nice to be in an airport and not feel nervous about being deported.) #America #flyingsouthforwinter #missyoualreadyChicago (at Chicago Midway International Airport)

Air Travel
Itās when I get settled in my airplane seat, ear buds firmly in place, favorites tunes on shuffle, that I often do my best reflection on my life. Reflecting on the trip Iāve just taken and/or my next destination. (Not to mention sitting on airplanes and wandering airports make me feel like Iām doing something exciting with my life.) Itās in these moments, between places, where Iām able to gain some perspective; take an objective look at the choices Iāve made. I often shed a few tears, really feel the gratitude, and acknowledge all the amazing people Iām fortunate enough to know, sad to leave, and/or excited to see soon. Less reflection happens when Iām binging on Netflix in bed or navigating the day-to-day inertia that exists wherever I happen to be. But thatās life. Time slows down a bit when I walk through security or board a plane. Iām not sure why, but it really doesnāt matter. I wanted to take a moment to note this feeling before it passes, which it always does. Iām glad to be staying in one place for a few months (as far as I know), and I appreciate this clarity. I also appreciate the decision Iāve made to move back to the States this summer. As much as I love this magical place and the crazy adventures Iāve fallen into, Iām also ready to be closer to home, family, and a legal residential status. The tentative plan is to leave Barcelona in late June and be in Chicago until the gray and cold begin their threats. Itās looking like Austin after that for some sun, music, and maybe getting back to my ācareerā, whatever the fuck that means. Iām looking forward to it and feel relief around making a decision. Iāve never fully committed to being here and therefore have been paralyzed to move forward in legal avenues to really BE here. Es muy complicado y mi corazón todovia esta en los estados unidos. ā” All that being said, everything could turn on its fucking head and who knows where Iāll end up? The plan has been to have no plan the last few years and itās comforting to have one, even if itās just a facade.
Besos.
