Miniature Henry Hoover scratch built by myself. Made from plastic, mountboard, sandpaper and beads. Had a lot of fun making this, the spray paint was the most challenging part ad there was a lot of moisture in the air and a cold temperature at the time of spraying. Any questions just ask me. Been busy in the studio (the shed) this afternoon, making progress on my next little project. I'm building a tiny 'henry hoover' and I'll be posting wip shots on my blog for those of you who are interested. So far I've decided to make the top and base from miniature aresol cans rather than make a mold for them which would have taken more time. I used multiple layers of paper and varnish to create the rounded back part of the base. I have made a few other components so far but I'll post on here when I'm further on.

Miniature tool kit. Made from various fabrics, cardboard, shoelaces, plastic and acrylic paint. Hindsight is a beautiful thing indeed and looking back I would have made this tool kit differently. Had fun making it though!
Miniature tape measure. Sculpey, brass, acetate & acrylic. **top tip** don't be lazy and put your sculpey in the oven whilst baking a pizza with the heat too high and then forget you put it in the oven and leave it to burn! - the sculpey came out black (which was useful) but had a small crack in it which I had to fill.
Miniature chisels. Wood & acrylic. Various sizes.

Miniature tools, an ongoing project. No scale. Various materials.
Lego Ninjago painting. Acrylic on canvas. 30 x 40cm.
Mini Makita drill. Hand carved from wood. Shame about the paint finish, it would have been nice to spray it up rather than use acrylic.

Mini posi screwdriver wood & sculpey. 5.5 x 1cm
I made this by sculpting the handle shape out of sculpey and then adding a cocktail stick which I sanded to thin down. I created the end of the driver with a scalpel.
I added a hole and grip lines as they appeared on my brand of screwdriver.
I used acrylic paints which applied horribly and im not happy with the texture on the paint finish.

I must touch up on the yellow paint as I can still see pencil marks and a tad of silver where it shouldn’t be. I probably should have primed it before painting but I was too impatient.
As I’ve said in a previous post, I’m making a miniature collection of my tools as part of a new project.
I got a small piece of plastic tube and bunged the ends of it after filing it with green liquid. I then chiseled out two trenches into pieces of wood for the tube to go into. And glued the tube into place. I sawed the wood into the spirit level shape and added a styrene edge.
I just remembered I should have painted on two black lines. Oops!
Mini piercing saw 6cm x 2cm made from scratch. I had an idea to recreate my tools in miniature as my hobby and passion is to make models. The tools I use to make my models with are now the focus and inspiration for my latest pieces. More tools to follow.
