Lautski Week-alt day: DnD
For a summer day, it was kinda boring. Steph was alone in her room scrolling on her phone. Brenda and Kyle were on a date and Stacy was on vacation with her family. That’s when Steph remembered, she could do her favorite hobby, bothering her boyfriend. She sent a quick text to Pete.

Steph remembered from the crazy weird stories Pete tells him it does sound complicated but really fun so she thought she could give it a shot.

When Steph got there she was greeted by her boyfriend wearing a very curious outfit. That being some brown pants, a star wars hawaiian shirt, and a green cardigan she got them. Steph couldn’t help but giggle when seeing her nerdy ass boyfriend.
“What the hell are you wearing?” She said while giggling
“What do you mean? It's comfy plus the shirt is really cool and you know I love this cardigan.” The explanation didn’t stop Steph’s laughing though. Eventually she stood straighter and gave her boyfriend a kiss on the cheek. And Pete gave her the stupid goofy smile and still got red just from her girlfriend showing intimacy.
“C’mon nerd, you wanna teach me this game right?” This snapped Pete out of his thoughts of how awesome his girlfriend was as he rushed to his room and brought down a dice bag and a players handbook.
“Alright so dungeons and dragons at its bare minimum is a game where you use your imagination to create a character and live in a fantasy world built by logic and chance mostly depended on dice.” He prattled on, eventually bringing out a character sheet. “Now since it’s your first time maybe we stick to a less spell approach.” He then showed her the classes Fighter, Rogue, Barbarian, Ranger, and monk. “We already have a pretty balanced team so whatever you pick would work well.”
“Alright then, let’s go with barbarian, they seem the most fun.” Steph responded seeing Pete getting a giant smile for indulging him in his nerd hobbies. Pete then flipped through pages till he got to the chapter labeled species.
“Now you get to pick your race, we’ll stick with classic players handbook races because a lot has been added over time.” Steph looked through each one and finally pointed one out, she thought the dragon one looked cool.
“How about this one, Dragonborn?” Pete smiled and then wrote more things on a character sheet for her. He then gave her four six sided dice and asked her to roll.
After jotting down a few numbers Pete explained the rest of the things, like rage and breath attack. And yeah it was a bit geeky but seeing her sweet nerdy boyfriend gushing all over her and having such a giant smile made it so worth it. Plus after all the paperwork she did have fun playing, especially because she could use it as an excuse to flirt with every npc pete made.
