one of my fave pre-season 1 (and honestly pre-season 2 before five arrives) scenarios to think of for brellie ben and klaus is klaus not really reading much, if at all, but ben still loves reading, so they find a way to get free books and every once in a while klaus will just sit down with a book and ben will hover over him and just tell him to flip the page every once in a while

i love the idea of diego actually killing someone he thought would save jfk, with lila's help of course.

and they're both fucked. neither of them know how to hide a body or clean up after killing someone.

lila doesn't know how, the commission was a get in, get out, rest assured you're saving timelines thing.

diego doesn't know how, when he was doing his vigilante work it was a get in, get out, feel badass thing.

and then there's five, who has a sixth sense for when his siblings are doing some fuckshit and came to help at just the right time. except, he doesn't know how either, for the same reason as lila.

so the entire time all three of them are making it up as they go along and are too proud to admit they don't know what they're doing.

i think part of why the diner is kinda sauceless to me is because it's only fives. conceptually i understand why but it'd be even worse to me if the fives had like. remaining straggler siblings with them. give me a pack of diegos playing darts and trying to feel normal. give me a group of luthers worrying over equations same as the fives are, because they want to fix this somehow. another group of allisons trying to be upbeat but struggling so bad. stray viktors scattered around the outside, some of them busking and others leering at those who do. a rare ben who lived, somehow, uniquely horrified by the stares they get. a klaus at every other table, staring blankly at what the rest of them know is the missing pieces they all carry (and failed attempts to get them to please, just conjure them. let them come back for just a moment. please, i miss them so much). it'd be more fucked like that imo... survivorship bias more obvious based on who has the most duplicates around

Like—there’s an argument to be made for all of them.

Luther likes how large the paths are. He can walk around without bumping into anything. (He also likes the meatballs. He swears they’re the best meatballs ever. Klaus says they should probably get his taste buds checked)

Diego thinks he can get away with pretty much anything in there. And you know what? He’s right

Allison is a Regular Person who enjoys their prices and walking through the displays

Klaus speaks only Swedish while there. No one knows where the fuck he learned Swedish. He’s enjoying trolling the employees

Five thinks it’s a nice place to stage a murder. And you know what? He’s also right.

Ben is going to buy every stuffed animal they have there. Specifically to throw at Klaus when necessary.

Viktor goes there to do . . . malevolent things. What things, we don’t really know yet. But they’re happening

so obsessed with the fact that diego and five could’ve SO easily hurt elliot for pointing a gun at them but they just took it from him peacefully because they know he’s truly harmless. five gives him a little shrug after handing diego the gun like “really man?” and elliot shrugs back at him like “what????”

also obsessed with the fact that elliot couldn’t be PAID to gaf that these people are overtaking his home because he thinks they’re aliens and he wants to be in on whatever cool stuff they’re doing

he gets his own weapon confiscated, tied up, and shown some genuinely frightening things while restrained by some white boy he met ONE (1) day ago (when said white boy BROKE INTO HIS HOME THROUGH TELEPORTATION) and his weird brother and girlfriend lady and as soon as they untie him he’s just FINE WITH IT

he’s like ope. welp. time to go back to whatever i was doing before. brother STAND UP!!!!!!!

lowkey wish more fics touched upon the longer lasting impact of drug use for klaus and the permanent damage to your body, i feel like in a lot of them he gets sober and then everythings fixed or he just struggles with relapsing but theres so much more to it then that
