I am very anti-RT and am quick to criticize the show (and fandom)'s issues. I'm a hater and harsh critic in general.

I only care about Lopez and I'm not even joking. And most of that is the version of him that exists in my head (as I am also very critical of his canon character). My opinion on the show otherwise fluctuates constantly.

I LOVE the way you drew Tucker. I also think youre the first ive seen that put him in a durag and its such a good look for him. I also do love him in locs. He looks good in almost any style. Its his metrosexual good looks.

Thank you so much! I've never been super big on Tucker wearing locs--specifically the long locs people tend to give him--at least until Iris, because I don't think he's ever in the right time or place for maintaining them + he's too impatient and preoccupied to take care of them for most of the series.

I like putting him in a durag and simple protective styles for similar reasons (especially considering he has a helmet on/is in warzones so often). I think generally he shaves his hair until he gets posted at the desert temple and then wears simple twists until post-Chorus, when he can comfortably grow his hair long and not have to worry about breakage or other maintenance issues.

Hi!! I honestly don't think my Tucker headcanons are all that interesting (he's my favorite Blue but I think most of the fandom already has him covered for headcanons, LOL)… but I'm happy to share some of my random thoughts about him all the same :-)

I think he's a LOT more mundane than people make him out to be. He's very capable and even competent at his best, of course, but at the end of the day he's kind of just a thirty year old dude who would prefer being able to hang out without having his life on the line. He DOES have an adventurous streak, but if he had the option he'd prefer any excitement/action be a one-and-done deal and not a world saving excursion every time. He likes training and sparring a lot because of this.

Short attention span. If the Reds and Blues are having a conversation, he's usually the one guiding it through sheer force of passion and the speed at which his mind works. He's kind of a yapper, just likes getting all his thoughts out as soon as possible. Ironically he's bad at listening, even if he started the conversation… he just needs his thoughts out of his head.

He and Caboose are codependent with each other. It fluctuates between being good for them and a little unhealthy when they're at their mental worst, but they're so used to being the only two consistent Blues that they get antsy if they have to get separated (IE for a mission). They're comfortable enough with each other that they're regularly in each other's personal space, but it can be hard to tell because their relationship is very playfully competitive. They're very subconsciously protective of each other.

Maybe controversial but I've always imagined Tucker as a former emo kid. He has a penchant for drama so he really related to emo music when he was a teenager (even if he had a pretty mundane upbringing). Grew out of it and doesn't talk about it/listen to it anymore but it was a little formative for him.

He's a very passionate guy! He can seem way more stubborn and disinterested when he's unenthusiastic about the subject, but if you need something done and Tucker offers to do it he WILL get it done. And happily, too! He throws himself into most things he does because he likes the instant gratification that comes with helping others LOL. A slightly selfish motive but with selfless execution.

He's actually kind of average-looking, which fuels some of his masculine insecurity. He's kind of like a peacock in the sense that he prioritizes body language and ornamentation to "improve" (in his opinion) his image. I wouldn't say he's a fashionista, though, he just tries to stand out in simple ways. Through big, confident movements more than anything.

He's very youthful and lively at his best! My go-to Tucker characterization always veers toward "fun-loving and silly" because I think he really shines when he's having fun. At his MOST unconscious and absolute best he's a goofy, snarky guy. But usually he's trying (to varying degrees) to come across as cooler than he is because he thinks people will take him more seriously like that.

Locus being Chorus's key bearer is such a beautiful bookend. Years spent tearing that planet apart, sword passed through the hands of two people he betrayed—at Chorus's expense, in its favor—ultimately left under his supervision. Him taking it far away from the planet to accompany him on his journey to right every wrong he'd made on Chorus.

Protecting them, in a way, from having it stolen again and used against them. A forcible reminder of everything he did in the form of a blade linked directly to his survival. He WILL continue to live, even if only because, in a way, he owes it to them. Part of them will always be with him and he'll take it to his grave.

I have this idea for a small open OC project where anyone is welcome to design a member of Donut’s post-13 “Pink Team” that oversees sustainable food production and has the aesthetic of a group of urban cowboys. Like they man Chorus’s first major post-war ranch/farm and lead the charge on herding domesticated animals and foraging for renewable food. Does this make any sense/sound interesting at all…
