My final thoughts on mikasa the FMC of aot

Not including the leaks since they are 180 to her character imo

She spend her childhood alone with her parents they were happy but their happiness didn't last long since tragedy stuck & mikasa saw their deaths.

This incident left a big impact on her since she just lost her home,the world to her.

But then just like an angel eren came to save her what we saw was a 9yr old who brutally murdered 2 adults but

what she saw was a kid saving her from his hell by killing two ppl. Still she had lost her home so it wasn't enough to encourage her

And then it happened the movement in which she fell in love with eren

as he gave her hope,a new life, purpose to live,the warmth of living,new home a place where she can return to and he became the new world to her

For mikasa home isn't a place it's a feeling,a family feeling warmth of life,comfort the most precious thing to her the entire world for her its a feeling of completeness.

She never thought abt pursuing love in their relationship bc they were never taught abt all this teen stuff sure she loved him and a few time jealous too but she never acknowledged it and in Ch 50 she thanked him for all this as she thought they were gonna die

all she wanted was to be by his side no matter what even if eren never reciprocated her feelings bc as I said before she never thought to see this in a romantic way that's why she was confused and said family later to release it what eren actually wanted

She understands her responsibilities for being the strongest she never boasted herself.she is mature and didn't act recklessly always trying to keep eren on right track

Even after seeing the cruelty of this world she still sees the beauty of it. the good side of ppl and humanity she believes in everyone that's why eren asked why did she cared abt him sm as he wasn't able to understand how someone can love this devil.

Bonus : for ppl who think she is only as eren's love interest or had no development

Vinland saga : what is love ?

For canute love was ragnar,for thorfinn his father,for askeladd his mother,for king the wealth but is this love?

In vinland love is not in wealth,desires,family — it's selflessness

death embodies love perfectly as after our death we won't hate or complain to others,won't blame other's for or own mistakes,would stop bring selfish and thinking only about ourselves.

We all do selfish act atleast once in our life - like thinking of our success at cost of other's failure,wanting all benefits in life for us&our close ones for which we usually

sacrifice other's happiness,crush their desires,neglect their emotions same as ragnar watched 62 other ppl die in order to keep prince safe.

“once we die we no longer would steal or hate other's,we would give our body to animals with generosity,won't more complain to rain and thunder even when lying under it Death perfects a person”

Our tender feelings for our closed ones comes in way of helping others and we do the opposite of love - we close our eyes to the wrong,try to hide the faults of us&family.

we all are his children equally & when god didn't differentiate between us then why we do in ourselves. father(god) created us as humans,the wandering ones eating same food at same level&place. At the time what mattered the most was to satisfy our hunger for food.

we all were same not filled with our negative emotions of jealousy,anger,boasting,levels,hate but as humans started to grow and gain 'wisdom' we created rules,right-wrong,boundaries of rich-poor,man-women,strong-weak.

But now that hunger can't be satisfied without being able to get everything in the world like power,wealth,pleasure,goods.

We take things from nature,use it's resources but doesn't complain and our craving for more increases everytime. Humans snatch,force to take from others but don't give away anything in return still nature keeps quiet.

The apple here symbolising all our takes from nature,other creations of God and leaving it half eaten in a barren place is selfishly using the creation to our benefits without giving anything in return but always there to complain how we are not provided with enough

“We gained knowledge to grow but lost smthg important in return the most precious thing of all something that we will never regain as long as we live the thing we lost the most important thing that we would never regain it's — love”

In short : love is our selflessness for others just like nature is to us it,gives everything it has to others without any wants in return or greed to get more.

no selfish motives in helping others just purity in doing.

Vinland saga does not only defines love but also gives us the solution to why the difference has been created we would never be able to attain love again as we have traded our empathy,love,affection with selfish wisdom and knowledge to defeat others

The more I read of your analysis on the main timeline of Castlevania, the more I'm thinking that Gabriel isn't a counterpart to any of the Belmonts or to Dracula. I'm starting to feel like he's a counterpart to Hector and Marie is a counterpart to Rosely. Especially because Marie and Gabriel's relationship is so similar to Hector and Rosely's, while Inner Dracul (the Entity that possesses the castle) and Gabriel have a similar relationship as Hector and Dracula. I need to do more information gathering on it, but I thought it was an interesting parallel.

Hector is written to be a foil to Dracula, similar to Alucard himself but not quite in the same way. Hector has been hurt and rejected by humans, and he fled to live in Dracula's castle, but he never wished to harm them. So, when he was forced to, he was appalled, and chose to flee risking death.

Dracula: Why did you betray me? Hector: Why did you unleash your hatred upon the humans? When you began slaughtering them indiscriminately, I had no choice but to disobey you. Dracula: You side against me... for the sake of humans? (angrily) Humans are not worth the air they breathe. I was simply cleansing the world. Hector: It is not your place to judge the worth of humans. Dracula: The powerful always judge the weak. The humans made their judgment of me, as well. Thus I sentenced them... to extinction. Sympathy is merely a form of weakness.

Hector clings onto his humanity after being considered a demon most of his life, when Dracula infamously cast his own humanity aside to spite God and his "decree of limited life":

"Please, I beg of You, I am human too!" "My nourishment is human life and mistakes. I will disappear when humans perish…"

Rosaly is absolutely meant to be Lisa's counterpart. Both of them, gentle women mostly dedicated to aiding the sick and those in need, fell in love with dark, morally questionable men and brought out the best in them:

And Isaac was uniquely cruel, in how he manipulated a mob to falsely accuse Rosaly of being a witch and have her executed, the exact same fate that befell Lisa and pushed his Lord to madness. Hector doing the same would have been the key in his and Death's plans: had they succeded, and had Hector killed Isaac in a fit of rage, he would have literally become Dracula, as the vampire's curse would have fully consumed him and his body would have been used to resurrect Dracula.

But while Dracula blamed the entirety of mankind for the actions of few, Hector ignored the role of the mob (again, no harm on humans), immediately understood that Isaac was the one behind it all, and focused on killing him and him only. And even then! Seconds before skewering Isaac for all he did, Hector connected the dots and realized that the thirst for revenge that had guided him throughout the entire game was not even his! He had fallen victim to Dracula's curse, which darkens people's hearts. Dracula himself had corrupted him from beyond the grave. So he managed to save himself... what Dracula couldn't do.

As a bonus, they kinda look alike :)

It's intriguing how Alucard, Dracula's own son, resembles Lisa most of all, because her heart lives on in him, and then as Arikado he changed his appearance to look nearly identical to Mathias, Dracula as a human.

Hector, though? Pretty much a young version of Dracula as a vampire specifically. Sure, it can be because Kojima has the hots for one kind of man and loves to draw him all the time... but you know :)

And, funnily enough, in English both Hector and Mathias were voiced by Crispin Freeman! So I believe the parallels were fully intentional.

Ehm. I may have gone on a tangent :P anyway, the point is, Hector is a "good" Dracula, similar to Alucard in that "suffered the same trauma, reacted better, humanity is kinda important actually" way but IMO more poignantly because Hector skirted close to villainy multiple times (and is kind of rougher around the edges lol) while Alucard is more heroic.

I don't know nearly enough about Gabriel to draw more conclusive parallels. From what I know from the most surface level of summaries, Gabriel seems to be Mathias if his grief and his rejection of God had been given more focus in LoI. Marie also sounds to me more similar to Sara Trantoul, Leon Belmont's fiancée whose soul is sealed inside the Vampire Killer. If you find some similarities with what I said here, feel free to explain them <3

Aoyama the traitor&victim of UA

Spoilers from manga in post =>

On first glance this character looks like just another character who is their to support main chr and be used as a plot armor in situations but this is where the author took advantage of stereotypes to change it entirely....

He was quirkless as deku but unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to have someone like all might on their side. His dream was to become a HERO and when his's parents found aoyama's quirklessness in the world where quirks are ppl's vanity,money,strength,weakness everything. Aoyama started to feel lonely,different,unworthy (the rest of emotional problems faced by aoyama was same of deku's). Rampant by this situation and as any parent would want the best for their child aoyama's parents,becoming bulwark of their child turned to afo's help to give aoyama a quirk so that “he can become hero”

Him nor his parents wanted him to feel different “because being different is scary” even tho the quirk wasn't suitable for him and gave him pain to handle still he endured pain for his dream as deku did with himself. He knew it,he knew the harsh reality of him having this quirk even tho he didn't wanted to become a traitor but his parents life were on line,so he did as afo told him to do. He didn't want to loose his only home&warmth in life but neither wanted to betray his friends so hence he cried.

“FOR THE PEOPLE,IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM HAPPY,FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE I WILL...”

“TELL ME WHEN THE CLASS WILL BE ISOLATED. TELL ME WHERE THE TRAINING CAMP WILL BE TAKING PLACE. NOW THAT MIDORIYA HAS RETURNED TO UA LURE HIM OUT AND ISOLATE HIM”

the way afo's lines are panelled in parallel to aoyama's inner thought to what he really wanted to do,to what he really wanted to show as himself in front of others,to how much he cared abt everyone,it is good writing trying to show how he NEVER intended to be like this but situation planed something horrible for him.

Aoyama had always been pure at heart,a child unfortunate to see differences of this world at young age,who wanted to be a hero bc hero is not just a title that can be worn by anyone but only who are good at heart,who really want to help others without seeing their differences,who give a shoulder to crying,who seek justice&not power.

Queen Elsa--INFJ

An analysis of the character as an INFJ throughout the course of the movie Frozen

Young Elsa is fairly serious and reserved, but she also has a very playful side, true to her INFJ personality.  She loves playing with her energetic sister Anna, even though sometimes it takes a little effort on Anna’s side to get her excited to play along.  Elsa’s strong Fe (extraverted feeling) is clear from even this age in the movie.  She finds the most pleasure with her ice powers through sharing them with her loved ones and giving them a great time.  In fact, it seems the main motivation for using her powers is the joy of others, a very strong sign of high Fe.  We also see her dominant Ni (introverted intuition) at this age.  Elsa is very creative with her powers, more in an exploratory fashion than an Fi-users more personal and emotional way.  She is more singly focused than an Ne-user, enjoying exploring her powers more and more deeply and seeing what she can create.  In this way, she is creative in a strongly Ni-Ti way.

Elsa’s dutiful nature comes not from Si or Te, but from her Fe.  An INFJ can all to easily put aside his or her own desires or parts of character in order to make those they care about happy, protect them, and/or support a broader purpose.  When Elsa accidentally hurts her sister, she is, as any loving sister would be, extremely devastated.  But the aftermath of how she deals with this shows her INFJ personality.  When she distances herself from her loved ones, it is out of her strong desire to keep them safe.  A classic characteristic of INFJs is the tendency to put the needs of others above one’s own, and after such a frightening experience and at such young age, Elsa exhibits this trait very strongly.  INFJs can be plenty dutiful in general, especially when the ones they care about are involved.  So when Elsa takes the gloves and follows the words to “conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know,” she takes it to heart with the utmost importance from a place of high Fe.  Elsa is also a type 1 in the enneagram, which makes her that much more concerned about doing the right thing.

he wanted to wipe out the enemies same as he wanted to wipe out the titans so that he could finally achieve his freedom he thought he had to kill his enemies but after the big revealtion i think he knew they never could really be free

both sides were same filled with good and bad people his way to see the world and freedom changed earlier he thought freedom is to live beyond the ways and his the other side was their enemy that they would be free after wiping out their enemies but it wasn't

with all this reveal,changing and uncertainty he asks after wiping out what's on the other side will they be free? what he wanted to wipe was the whom he thought  to be as enemies but they came to be the same

lastly eren never wanted to do genocide or kill innocents what he wanted to erase were the enemies as per the image he had in his mind before the truth came

Ymir : the forbidden fruit

A girl wanting to be helpful and good in this cruel world,one who he loved by everyone

"Slaves have no need for two eyes" since they are allowed only to see limited,not free to look the entire scene

A small girl who had no will of her own was pushed to become a slave of king. The only thing she did by her own will was to 'free' the pigs and not been able to see the pigs in barren made the king upset,he ordered to punish all the slaves if the culprit wasn't held. And ppl took the easiest way possible - blame it on the girl.

He says 'you are free' to the irony he makes her run for her life,hunted,afraid from them just as a animal would be hunted and its fate is in hands of the hunters.

While ymir was running for her life,she found a mysterious tree and nowhere to go hide herself inside that tree not knowing what was in front to her she falls into a pond and gaining the Titans power

*The titan was so skeletal which made me think how she had no identify of her own*

Obeyed the orders to annihilate marley and yet from the same hands she held a new life making the entire scene of of taking and giving birth to live at same time

Even after all this she tried to protect the king as any slave would do to protect master being a titian shifter gave her the power to regenerate right? But she deliberately chose to die since she thought death would make her finally "free" from the slavery. Unfortunately she was never free neither in life nor in death had to obey orders and continue to make titans for 2000 years waiting for someone to free her.
