thinking about how similar vivec and trinimac are
the tribunal were left behind to clean up nerevar's mess, and before anyone says they killed him which i'm not disputing, i don't think nerevar was ever going to survive red mountain, he was always going to die and the tribunal were always going to have to pick up the pieces. similarly, trinimac was left behind by auri-el and the aedra to clean up lorkhan's mess who, like nerevar, was well-intentioned. trinimac's teachings were the foundation for the altmer's belief system and trinimac is directly responsible for their prejudices and the years of war and strife that followed. the tribunal's decision to use the heart brought about the red year and destroyed morrowind, leaving the dunmer scattered. just like how the dunmer suffered because of the tribunal, the altmer suffered because of trinimac. i also think that trinimac deeply regretted lorkhan's murder, just like how vivec regretted nerevar's. on top of all of this, vivec presents himself to the dunmer as a glorious hero, a leader, a vanquisher of foes, which is awfully similar to how trinimac is portrayed in altmeri mythology. i actually think trinimac is someone vivec would have tried to emulate. think about what trinimac was to the altmer; the warrior, the paragon, a god who would stand up for them and their beliefs. he was a mighty and courageous hero who embodied strength and honour. in some places he was even more popular than auri-el. why do you think the netchiman's wife taught the egg-image of vehk about trinimac?
