This is very scary and concerning for black people. AGAIN DEHUMANIZING BLACK PEOPLE
Black people health conditions aren't taken seriously compared to others. Many black people are scared to go to the hospital for this reason
Black women are 4x likely to die from complications of childbirth than white women in the United states.they've had experience that has unacceptably poor maternal health outcomes
Also, as an important tie in: when folks say that there needs to be reform in the medical field too, this is a good example of why. The shit I’ve been through as a queer disabled Black person is downright heinous, and it was still mild compared to what many others dealt with.
Remember that Black civil rights activists were intentionally misdiagnosed with schizophrenia for fighting racism so there would be another completely legal avenue to ramp up the abuse.
Remember that the misdiagnosis to prison pipeline, where POC in general, and BIPOC especially, get labeled as defiant/violent instead of receiving screening and treatment for disabilities, is a real thing.
Remember that we live in a world where, the darker your skin and curlier your hair is, the more likely it is that you’ll have to struggle to receive any form of compassionate medical care.
Please, don’t forget that when you’re advocating for alternatives to police, and make sure you go just as hard for medical reforms.
Jumanji: a game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind. You roll the dice to move your token, doubles gets another turn, the first player to reach the end wins. Adventurers beware: do not begin unless you intend to finish. The exciting consequences of the game will vanish only when a player has reached Jumanji and called out its name.

1.7% of people are intersex, 2% have green eyes, and 1.5 percent are redheads, but yeah red is a natural hair color, green is a natural eye color, and being intersex is a 'deformity'. Keep pretending gender isn't a social construct
