imagine being one of the most powerful mediums in your family's bloodline but you lowkey don't know it yet because you're like 16 and then your sister dies and you become an unlicensed lawyer's assistant and the lawyer is like a brother to you but is also a dick and when he's trying to save his boyfriend from incarceration you just Cannot do the one thing he keeps you around to do and he's trying to be nice about it but lowkey you can tell he has this building resentment that you cant contact your dead sister on command for him because he needs to save this guy he's in love with so you feel useless and as a response you quit the unlicensed lawyer gig to stand under a waterfall and hone your skills to become useful for him and its going well but when he comes to see you and its finally your chance to prove yourself to him someone steals your identity and frames you for murder that you're not totally Sure whether you did or not and it feels like every time you try and accomplish this one thing you've set your mind to for the sake of justice and your best friend and your sister and your mother it just goes wrong and so much rests on you because you're literally the last in your immediate bloodline to do this but you have this complicated relationship with this singular gift you've been granted because every time you do it a) someone dies and you get caught in the crossfire or b) it happens to you in a time of intense distress and only because your best friend/mentor figure/brother figure needs to talk to your sister who is more adept and better than you in every way thus reaffirming your uselessness to him as anything more than a glorified telephone. also your aunt was the one to frame you for murder.
