Criminal Minds actor Joe Mantegna poses with Marines from RS Los Angeles at their annual Holiday Party held at CBS Studios.
The 2013 Marine Corps Recruiting Station Los Angeles Holiday Party was hosted at CBS Studios this year. So of course, we do our best to show them the support they have shown us this year.
We are loving the National WWII Museumâs new website, www.infamydecember1941.org, complete with details about the December 7th surprise attacks on Pearl Habor, Guam, Wake Island, and the Philippines.Â
Also check out their classroom lesson plans!
We are thrilled to see more and more organizations, foundations, and museums jumping into digital media, and executing their outreach thoughtfully. This effort, in particular, stands out as a home run. Hopefully this is just the beginning for a field that desperately needs to create points of connections with new generations!
The 2nd Annual Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl game will be taking place January 4, 2013 in Carson, Calif. The bowl game, which is hosted by the United States Marine Corps, will feature high school athletes from all over the United States. Half time performances include the Silent Drill Platoon and the Marine Corps Band. This event is free and open to the public.
âSecret Santaâ storms through Sandy-battered New York handing $100 bills to strangers A wealthy Missouri man posing as âSecret Santaâ stunned New Yorkers, handing $100 bills to many in Staten Island who had lost everything to Superstorm Sandy. The Kansas City businessman is giving away $100,000 this holiday season, and spent the day in New Jersey and New York giving away thousands. But he says money is not the issue. âThe money is not the point at all,â said the anonymous benefactor on Thursday as he walked up to surprised Staten Island residents and thrust crisp bills into their hands. âItâs about the random acts of kindness. Iâm just setting an example, and if 10 per cent of the people who see me emulate what Iâm doing, anybody can be a Secret Santa!â (AP Photo/Rich Schultz)
