“Ah w-well, if you could put the food up, then I-I’ll focus on cleaning up the messes I made, o-okay?” She hummed, pulling her own sleeves up so she could begin to do her work. Her fingers wrapped around a little bucket as she filled it up with water and soap. Quickly grabbing a scrub brush, she began to clean the counters, seeming to focus entirely on this task, as though she’d forgotten Mee was with her.
“On my way !!” Mee was more than happy to help, going to get the food left over to put it -- somewhere else. She wanted to make sure things were as they were supposed to be, just in case -- she didn’t know what her Master Attendant would be like, for all she knew she had to be careful. As soon as she was done, she came over to Pinkie, hovering over her slightly -- excited. “Are you done ?”

At this point, her excitement was too much to deny. All she could do was beam as the other spoke and nod quickly once she asked her question. “You certainly don’t have to, but you’re r-right that it would help the process along faster. Th-there’s a lot to do.” Only after she spoke did she realize just what she was saying and she went to cover her mouth, but the damage had already been done. “A-again, you don’t h-have to, Mee.”
Mee’s eyes were just as bright as the other girl’s smile, and she nodded, pushing her sleeves up without much of a question. As the other covers her mouth and takes her words back, she leans over, taking her hands gently and squeezing. “Don’t worry about it, Pinkie !! I’d love to help !! Just tell me what I have to do, and I’ll help you out the best I can !!” She didn’t want the other food soul to be taking all of this by herself -- she was around, so she might as well help.

‘ mmm, well, a while ago those kinds of animals were all the great me ever talked to! ‘ and played with, of course - a good number of the smaller scars on his body had been unintentional mementos of the occasions. subconsciously he mimics her movement, rubbing his own nape, eyes gliding down to the ground before he chuckles.
‘ it’s just the HUMANS… not a lot of animals trust them. big ah and little ah have been helping me like that, warning me whenever there’s trouble in the forest… - oh! but, uh, i’m strong enough to do things like talk to the friendly ones now! having a master attendant’s kinda funny, though… ‘ considering he used to only ever wanted to clear out any human, spirit or fallen angel he had seen a long time ago.
“Wow !! You’ve seen a lot of animals, big bro !!” Intent, she listens to him as he continues to speak, nodding thoughtfully -- speaking of, the other food soul did have a fair amount of scars over his body -- could it be because of the animals he was telling her about ? It was so intriguing -- was he raised in the forest ? It would be wrong to ask, of course, but she was curious.
“I see...I think that makes sense !! I’m glad you’re strong enough to talk to people though -- that means we can talk together today !!” She wondered, briefly, about how the other survived out here, all by himself, without a master attendant. Probably the animals ? “You’ve been living out here, right ?”

“ I see… ” HE COULD always tell when someone was just trying to avoid a topic, or stay in someone’s good graces ( especially after something like that ). Though, without much word, he has no qualms merely LEAVING the girl by herself for a second. If she hadn’t tried it, he has no problem just giving her a taste. A moment on the lips is enough for many - a taste is just enough. For many, he truly tormented tastebuds with the idea that something he makes so sweet could be so bitter. TO EXTRACT HEAVEN’S ESSENCE from the devil himself, that was always his mode of living. It should go without saying that it takes him only a few minutes to return to her, setting a cup down of a simple vanilla latte down.
“ Here. I think you’ll find yourself refreshed. ”
Thank God. The other food soul was just rolling with it -- Mee was absolutely relieved he didn’t bring up more about that, it would have been way too awkward to even try thinking about these kinds of things anymore. What kind of question was cannibalism, anyway ? Was she insane ?? Of course she made some kind of -- impression, she supposed, but that was it, an impression, and it probably wasn’t even a good one !! As the other food soul leaves, she sits there, awkwardly trying to think to herself about the situation she’s definitely just made for herself, eyes roaming slightly around so she didn’t have to look at him when he returned -- though, her eyes flicked up to him when he set the cup down.
“Thank you so much.” She took a sip of the drink, and her eyes widened slightly -- it was nice. It was really nice. “It’s really good.”

The compliment on her smile caused the girl to blush, but she didn’t say anything. Again, it was a nice feeling. New and foreign when compared to the things that she was usually told. “A-ah…we could go now, sure! I’ve made all the food I was asked to and the other food souls are doing well-. S-so I wouldn’t mind!” Going out was a risk but- Jae-seung wouldn’t be back for awhile. She had to remember that in order to keep feeling safe with her decisions. With her want for a friend. “J-just let me clean up the kitchen really quick, okay?”
“Yes !! I’m so excited !! Let me drink the rest of my tea and we can go out together, Pinkie !!” Oh, she was so excited. She was alight with joy, holding her hands together with a bright smile. Where would they go ? What would they see ? Even if it was the same old thing, it would be fun to see with someone else. She tips down the rest of her tea and turns to her, glowing even more so, if possible. “Do you want me to help you out with cleaning ? It might help make things faster !!”

Her own happiness was rather infectious and Pink couldn’t help but smile as she cheered and took her hands. “W-well, I do like exploring, yes.” She said with a nod, her smile never fading. Something about the uncharted areas around town made her feel safe, though humans would disagree with such sentiments. “I’d love to go with you, if you r-really wanna go with me.”
“Your smile is really nice !!" The thought came out of nowhere, but she was soon squeezing her hands gently as the other spoke, smiling right back at her as she spoke. “I would love to !! When are you free ? We can go right now, if you’re not busy.” Oh, she was so excited !! There were several places she hadn’t explored herself, and it would be easier on her poor Master Attendant’s heart if she could come back safe. If she had a friend, her Master Attendant was sure to let her go !!

Do you want to hang out with me? The question caught her off guard, but again she felt her chest swell with happiness. Maybe she could slip away while Jae-seung was gone? He did say he’d be out for a few days and that was just yesterday. Pink did so desperately want friends, after all. She only had Cotton Candy, really. Speaking before actually thinking, the small girl nodded and gave a hum. “I’d love to hang out, Mee!”
“Hooray !! We can go exploring together !!” Mee’s eyes were bright and shy as the other agreed -- she was so happy that the other had agreed to her proposal. It would be fun doing things with friends, even new friends. She reached over to take her hands, squeezing gently. “Unless there’s something you want to do ?” She really didn’t mind doing whatever -- it was nice to just be with friends.

Oh, so Mee was actually going to ask about Pink’s breaks. That was going to be a bit harder- how well could she actually lie to this girl without being, well, rude. She wanted them to be friends, but such things did rarely come to pass with how her own master attendant acted. The girl gave a bright smile and shook her head slowly. “I get one when my Master Attendant gets back. It shouldn’t be too long.”
“Ooh, okay.” It seemed like this food soul was particularly devoted to her master -- she knew some souls who just did what they wanted, sometimes. She nodded, thoughtful, and smiled at her again. “Then, after that, do you want to hang out with me ?” It was slightly awkward to ask, but Mee did want to make as many friends as she could. “If it’s okay !!”

Don’t forget to take breaks. Honestly, hearing that made her smile for some reason she couldn’t quite understand herself. Usually only Cotton Candy tried to make sure that she was okay, and even that was rarely. It was a rather nice feeling, though she’d never be able to explain it to herself, or maybe anyone else for that matter.
“I do when I get the chance. Like- n-now for example!”
Truth be told this was the first break she could ever recall taking.
It was nice to see a smile on the other Food Soul’s face, and she smiled even wider herself, eyes shiny. Perhaps she was the type that took a lot of responsibility on herself ? Even so, it was probably good for the other soul to rest, as it was important for her to get rest, too. Especially when working in the restaurant. "That’s good !!” She’d forgotten about her tea, and quickly sipped it, smiling at her again. “Out of curiosity, when is your next break ?”
Do you like…. sugar? Sentient food? A dessert that’s super sweet in taste (don’t try tasting him) but is kind of cold in personality? Food Fantasy? Well I have the boy for you! It’s Cotton Candy. The small girl toyed with the lemon pin in her hair, listening to the other introduce herself. La Mian. Mee for short. She’d remember that. Working the way she did required her to remember things quickly- names especially. Plus maybe she could be friends with Mee! The thought excited her, though she was afraid of saying it aloud.
“It’s nice to meet you, too, Mee. Ah- do I really? I’m so sorry, aha. I’m just a bit tired, I suppose…”
Pink lemonade, huh? She seemed to kind of fit that face -- though, it wasn’t Mee’s place to judge whether someone looked like their food or not. She wasn’t even sure if she looked like her food...oh well, in the end, it didn’t really matter. She smiles brighter as the other speaks, rubbing the back of her neck slightly.
“That’s understandable !! How long have you been working ? Don’t forget to take breaks.”
Did she sound like a worried mother ?
