1. why do you think it is important to study literature?
- It is important because you are going to try to connect to others by understanding their written works. You will look for the author, time that it is made, events, and analyze the whole text. By doing these things, you will never be misunderstood the text, story, poem, etc. As a writer also of a poem, I also understand that it is important for you to not be misinterpreted and create a very meaningful piece. There's a lot of great things that we can learn from literature and I also believe that even though we knew a lot of things, we will never stop growing and we will learn more about the things that we thought that we already knew.
2. "Literature teaches us to be empathetic and human" what does this line means?
- In a lot of written works, you are trying to put yourself on the text. You need to understand every line of the text and also the whole story or any written works. You are trying to connect with others, putting yourself into a subject, and understand what they feel and think. It is all about connecting to the feelings of others. We write something because we feel a particular thing that we want to say, but we cant. So we need to understand the feelings on the writing by trying to connect with them and understanding what they want to say. It is also trying to hear their voice by trying to understand what they want to say in that written work.
