the way people treat muslim women is so sad, and i dont mean by white liberal feminism definition of islam oppresses women in afghanistan and all that bs because what not islam, thats men who happen to be muslim who have twisted religion once again to hurt others. im talking about how muslim men will bring down muslim women who are trying their hardest to hold onto their faith, even when so called “scholars” recommend female circumcision, and domestic abuse, on top of non muslims harassing muslim women constantly. Dawah bros will constantly use the excuse that muslim women and hijab represent islam and that they should act right, but hijabis also take the blunt of islamaphobia, Hate crimed against hijabis, acid attacks, islamaphobic remarks i could go on. And nobody besides hijabis will truly understand what its like to wear hijab, some may have it easier than others and thats amazing for them, but when you put on hijab you loose a part of your identity. We believe that god rewards all of your efforts and struggles, The point of hijab isnt to cover for men, men will look at anything, the point is that you sacrifice something so dearly to you, — for example your outer beauty — for your love of god. Hijab is also to teach us that there is more to you than your appearance, that people have to get to know you as a person not just the way you present yourself. White liberal feminism pushes this narrative that being free is showing is showing your skin, but it goes both ways. Feminism and being free as a woman is being able to do whatever you want because it’s YOUR body. It truly hurts my heart so bad to see the way that dawah bros and red pull men have twisted our religion even more than it has been, in their favor to hurt women, and justify abuse and asult. the reason muslim men get so upset about women who arent perfect example of hijab and islam is because they think god is a man, that when you disobey god, you’re disobeying them. Realizing this genuinely changed my persecution so much on god and religion. I know not many, if anybody, will fully read this but after being harassed at my job for the millionth time just because i wear hijab, and muslim men coming after myself and girls on the internet for the smallest of things, i need to speak out somewhere.
