“it wasn’t too fast. i go fast. i’m just confused about the content. you have a what now?”
bcrtonhawk:
“Not a lot of people like to talk about it, but it’s the truth. Thanos took more than most of us could have even imagined.”
“i was lucky. my husband was too. i’m sorry you weren’t.” layla’s tone was sincere. “but you got it back, didn’t you?”
mcrganstarks:
“Did you know there’s more LEGO minifigures than actual people on Earth? It makes sense but its still freaky, right?”
“has anyone ever fact checked you on that?”
moondouglas:
“Then perhaps don’t ask next time if you’re not ready for an answer.”
“i’m fine with answers. yours just caught me off guard. it doesn’t happen often.”
xmoonsilk:
“Sorry! Stuff just kinda.. comes out, sometimes. I can’t help it. Can we start over? I’m Silk.”
“layla.” the mutant introduced herself. “what comes out of you isn’t that bad. you should hear what some people say.”
destroyrofworlds:
“Sorry, I go on tangents if no one stops me. The cosplaying was like… totally a one time thing, though.”
“hey -- to each their own. i try to not judge.”
“i know a lot of things, but i didn’t want to know that.”
soldatslav:
“hi, i’m bucky. i have one arm –– is that too forward?”
“you’re talking to the woman who used to be a girl who knew almost everything.”
soldatslav:
“i would never cheat at gin - and frankly i’m offended by the suggestion,” he insists, cards visibly sticking out of the sleeves of his ratty leather jacket.
“i know how to play gin, and that’s not it.”

mdrox:
“okay, fair enough - ” jamie grinned at his wife - relishing in the feeling for a moment - before wincing at the sound of davey’s… activities. “and hey, does that mean i’m legally required to flaunt the title? we’ve already got enough of an ego as is.”
She moved into the living room, scooping the kiddo and pressing a kiss to the top to his head. “Don’t make me wish you never learned to walk.” Returning to her attention to Jamie, Layla scoffed. “Required? Not in this house. You’re still going to be Jamie Madrox, the man I knew I was going to marry. Back when I knew more stuff. We’re starting to catch up.” Which was concerning. It was an edge Layla had always possessed. That and resurrection, and now Krakoa was doing even that better. “I don’t know -- what do Monet and Warren want?”
destroyrofworlds:
“They’re not actual earthquakes coming out of my hands. Technically it’s vibrations.”
“And all I can do is some mild resurrection. Which, for the record, is way less fun with the Krakoa thing. You sound exciting.”
xmoonsilk:
“A lot changed for me after Pleasant Hill. Mentally, physically.. There’s definitely been some sort of reality shift.”
“So they really just put you in a reality blender and waited to see what came out?”
ladylckis:
“What is this Tik Tok that I keep hearing mortals go on about?”
“It’s a hell hole that sucks you in. I keep saying I’m going to clean when the baby is asleep and end up on Tik Tok for hours.”

Felicia stood and waited for her chips to dispense from the machine, but when they got stuck she let out a groan and hit the glass. “The one time I try to pay for something.” She grumbled to herself.
“Capitalism. They take your money and keep your snacks.” Layla hummed. “This one hasn’t worked in two years. Did no one tell you?”
wiisdm:
“––i’m really quite knackered at the moment, so if you could get on with it. that’d be brilliant.”
“Knackered.” Layla blinked in surprised. “You’re more British than Captain Britain.”
mdrox:
“huh - that asshole stole my shirt. man, i should really start labeling them.”
“And as I’ve continued to tell you, I will not be the one sewing labels on.” Layla reminded him lovingly. There was a baby in the other room a crashing sound as the toddler let gravity knock him off his feet. She sighed. “You’re Dr. Madrox now. They all are, technically. Keep ‘em in line.”
