pete blinked, gaze narrowing at clint as the man tried to justify his embarrassingly disorganized supplies, “how you’re still around and walking this earth — is beyond me.”

pete had been made aware of the app, against his better judgement - and against his will - but there was no way he was actually about to disclose that to the woman in front of him, “sounds like something involving a clock, perhaps?”

Felicia stood and waited for her chips to dispense from the machine, but when they got stuck she let out a groan and hit the glass. “The one time I try to pay for something.” She grumbled to herself.

pete watched on in mild amusement as the woman hit the machine in frustration, “how very unfortunate.”

pete wasn’t paying attention in the slightest, his own drink sloshing against the ice in his glass as he absentmindedly swirled it around, “i’m sorry kate, but i’d be lying through my teeth if i said i remembered what we were talking about.”
