Hey so I fuck with bloodymary as much as the next person but can I like talk about something rq?

Why are so many people making Simon a brute.

Actually no, scratch that. I know why. I’m like 90% it’s racism + heteronormative dynamics

It’s not all of art/fics, but it’s definitely some of them. Simon DOES have anger issues and he does have violent tendencies, B U T he’s also so much more than that. He’s shown throughout the entire movie to be clever, determined, and hopeful. In fact I’d argue his most obvious personality trait IS his determination, we see that waaaay more than his anger during the film.

I can probably go more in depth for this is people want. Rn I’m just getting it off my chest. It feels weird to me how some ppl are characterizing Simon. Because like…yes. It is that serious

Look, just give me a second, I beg you. Grace has Simon, Stratt gets Ava, so I think it would only be fair if Carl got an Iron Lung friend. Now, wouldn’t David be a better pair, yeah probably…buuuut- maybe I just wanted to draw Jack okay. I’m a man of simple desires. Sue me. Idc if he was on screen for less than a minute, that just leaves me the room to make up shit regarding him and their dynamic. I’ve already integrated him into my Iron Hail Mary AU’s plot so you’re stuck dealing with this duo alright /silly

They’re both very pretty and very fun to doodle. Regarding his injuries, minus the large scars on his arm, stomach, and right leg; Jack doesn’t have consistent wounds. So you’ll see a wide variety of how cut up this lad gets.

And obviously more of them interacting. They have such an unserious friendship, I love them. Fun fact, Jack dies in the explosion btw
