was listening to "Oh Eros" from part 2 of stories from styx and was motivated to make my own design for Eros, also designed Psyche but she doesn't have a color palette yet.

I sat down to work on an actual sketch and to put some effort into something and ended up just messing around instead.

That last comment got me thinking and so now I’m working on a really angsty project and I have some teasers below.

Finished this last night but was too tired to post it. Anyways my designs for Orpheus and Eurydice! Decided to experiment with more than one color this time, since I usually only give my versions one solid color that corresponds to them. gave Orpheus a blood streak in his hair rather than than give him yellow /golden eyes to signal his connection with Apollo based on some sources I read, also make him buff and gave him scars to show he was an argonaunt at one point, so he was ready for the expedition of the Golden Fleece when Jason sought him out. I made Eurydice a nymph since some sources state her as such. I head canon that Orpheus met Eurydice before the events with the argonaunt/Jason and they became a Golden Fleece happened, also hc he promised to marry her the day he left for the journey of the Golden Fleece, also after Eurydice tragically passes, he wears both his own engagement ring and her ring on his ring finger.

I’ve been meaning to draw something art nouveau inspired of Polites for a while so I finally did! I definitely wanted to relax with the rendering but I just couldn’t help myself. I eventually reasoned it’s inspired not directly trying to be in the style. Plus I was not abt to throw out any more work I did than I already did (The drawing within the circle has a lot more going on but is blocked by Polites)

Some extra doodles because I love drawing him sm. He’s my precious in any form he takes (The two designs I just made up, not based on any particular design)

I won’t lie, I sometimes feel bad that ALL I post is Polites. Like I imagine ppl must get tired of seeing this curly haired silly on my page. But then I see other Epic fan art posters who only draw the royal family or the gods and I think “okay so this clearly isn’t an actual problem. I’m just worried for no reason.” I think Polites deserves recognition but I don’t wanna feel like the only person doing that, ya know what I mean. But at the same time I obviously don’t wanna stop drawing him. He brings me a lotta joy and this is my page after all. I can draw and post as much of him as I want! So I’m stuck between ‘wow I gotta draw other ppl stat’ and ‘teehee Polites so pretty and I wanna capture that’. It’s all so complicated yet a pointless fight with myself.

I think what sucks is I originally wanted to end this post with saying I really liked making up Polites designs (obviously based on the first doodle and some studies I’ve shared privately), so if you have a design send it to me so I can draw it. But now that feels like it goes against my new rant above so I don’t know anymore man bshsbhs I think I might extend that offer to if you have any Epic character designs in general you can share them for me to draw ^ ^ Just know where my biases lie /silly
