After months of waiting for construction completion, in August I had the opportunity to visit Jade Waters Lazy River at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.  The 630 foot lazy river, while shorter than other lazy rivers, was creatively positioned around existing trees and new Asian influenced landscaping.

Jade Waters is a must visit for any near Dallas based lazy river lover!  It can be a quick fix when you need a little lazy river relaxation but cannot travel to Austin or San Antonio.

Final trip to Lost Pines for the season

I have made 5 trips to Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop Texas between May and September 2016.  Each trip was special and a bit different.  I especially love being there when the hotel occupancy is low.  You almost feel like it is your own private resort and lazy river.  The few days after Labor Day is my favorite time to visit.  As I left the resort two fawns were eating by the roadside biding me farewell.  I hope to see them next again next year.

So happy to be at Hyatt Lost Pines near Bastrop Texas again!  Third trip in 2016 plus a few days at Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio.
