his return to hogwarts was far from what remus had thought it to be, to say the least. the lack of familiar faces and excess of unknown ones caused him to feel exceptionally alone in the crowded castle, and his recent encounters with people said to be from other galaxies and the future had made him wonder if everything he once knew was actually true. if his future followed the course he’d been told it would, remus would comeback to hogwarts as a teacher sometime in the future, and the thought of having a steady job in a place that felt so much like home both thrilled and terrified him. in spite of his doubts, it was impossible for the boy to deny the nostalgic happiness that grew inside him everytime he wandered the large halls as he was doing now. lost in thought, remus failed to see a young man coming his way, causing them to bump into each other. he was quick to mumble an apology as soon as their bodies collided, not missing the way the man’s hair changed color before his eyes. “i’m fine, don’t worry” he said, giving the stranger a small smile, “sorry about that, i should’ve watched where i was going.”
