"It's used to contact others when you're not with them physically, and it can do a lot of other stuff too." Ichigo wouldn't mind explaining things about his phone to Grimmjow at all. Should the arrancar ask him he'd happily explain every function the thing had and even show Grimmjow how to work them. When he's offered the phone back he chuckles before closing the browser window. He wasn't suprised at Grimmjow being confused about it or what it was.
Ichigo watches Grimmjow lean closer to the group of giggling teenaged girls before resting his chin on one of his hands. "Honestly, they're probably just lookin' at pictures of the people they like. That's how teenaged girls are these days." His sisters had even gone through the same phase back when they were teenagers. Giggling at images of the person they were crushing on, or reading comment arguments between a few people. He'd always found that kind of stuff stupid but then again, he'd not really been able to be a teenager for very long.
He looked at the window that was behind the girl that they were all crowded around to see if he could spot whatever it was. All he saw was an image of some guy in what looked to be a photoshopped tutu. Since he was wearing an American football uniform beneath it. "Looks like somee stupid image of some American football player with a fake tutu superimposed on the image." So maybe they were trying to play a prank on someone by making a fake image of them? Were they bullying someone? No, ichigo didn't think so. They weren'y laughing maliciously.
"Kids these days are into weird stuff. Photoshop is huge with them. They can heavily edit their own images to make themselves look better. That's called catfishin' though." Ichigo knew that catfishing wasn't exactly illegal but most teenagers weren't overly proficient in photoshop so their edits were always blatantly obvious. He thought it was kind of sad, actually, that they'd go so far to try and get a partner, or a part-time job as a model or something. He'd finish his own pastry and take the thing it came in to toss it into the nearby bin. He'd then move back to where he'd been sitting. "I know a lot about the human world, or well, Karakura Town, at least. So I can explain some stuff to you if you wanna know." It made him wonder if Grimmjow would want to go see the high school at some point.
Ichigo wondered if it made him crazy to not only be hanging out with Grimmjow casually like this, but teaching him about the humans and their world in Karakura Town. What would happen if he taught the arrancar how to use a phone or his laptop and he started looking weird stuff up on either? It wasn'y like he thought that would actually happen, but it was a genuine possibility. "Just so you know, I'm never gonna tell you to get a gigai. I don't think you'd be comfortable in one, even if it was made for you specifically." While he wasn't in a gigai himself he knew from Rukia that they could be really uncomfortable sometimes.
Taking Grimmjow to a park seemed to be something that he thought was out of the question. Why subject the arancar to a bunch of kids? Ichigo didn't want him to get pissed off. Not like that, anyway. No, the death god wanted to get him mad when they were fighting one another, not for any other reason. "The cafe is usually pretty quiet, so the girls are probably going to wind up leavin' after their drinks are done." Sometimes college aged people came to the cafe but they tended to use the quiet to work on their papers or work, rather than talk to others. "There's a bowlin' alley nearby, a park, and an arcade. I'd say the arcade might interest you since it'sgot games and stuff. The bowlin' alley might not have a lot of people in it yet, so you wouldn't be able to learn much. The park is typically full of families with young kids right now."
He'd look toward Grimmjow, watching how the arrancar shifted or moved in any way while he was still atop the table. Ichigo hadn't had any reason to ask or tell him to get off of it. He wasn'y disturbing anyone. Not even him. "There's a lot of places we can go for you to learn more about humans. Even the market, or grocer would be good, since people tend to talk with one another at those places." Even if Grimmjow didn't understand the topics people talked about, he could always ask the death god and he'd explain it to him. Teaching Grimmjow about the human world so far was quite interesting, even though it wasn't overly informative for the arrancar.
American football. Photoshop. Catfishing. All words that Grimmjow has no idea what the fuck they even mean. It looks like Grimmjow has a lot of learning to do about humans, but that’s just fine with him. Lately, he’s got nothing but time anyway. There hasn’t been anything special or pressing that requires his instant attention happening lately.
What the hell is this catfishing? Isn’t that a type of fish? But clearly Ichigo is talking about it like it’s something else. Judging by what Ichigo says, it’s when someone makes themselves look how they don’t look like. How do anyone ever come up with the term catfish for that?
Humans are weird and fascinating creatures.
“Good. ‘Cause I ain’t got any interest in those things.” Especially given who makes them and he doesn’t trust that guy. Grimmjow doesn’t think he’ll ever trust him. The soul reapers might but that’s a real stupid move on their part, though Grimmjow has seen Kisuke’s own kind refuse to trust him so he knows he’s not the only one who is wary of the man.
He’s got not idea what an bowling alley or an arcade is but he does understand the concept of games so he doesn’t have to ask about that, at least. The arcade sounds like a good place to go, when compared to all the other options. Grimmjow already knows that he will despise kids, will likely just want to slaughter them, so the park doesn’t sound like a fun option to him.
“Guess we could go to the arcade.” Grimmjow shrugs his shoulders, picking the drink back up to begin sucking down the coffee. It’s delicious. Fucking cold but delicious and he doesn’t plan on moving from his spot until he’s actually finished it, either.
Soon enough, though, he’s finished the drink and shoving it in Ichigo’s direction as if silently telling him to get rid of it. He had noticed Ichigo had gotten rid of his drink earlier, though he doesn’t know where he put it as his attention had been on the teenagers.
Tongue darts out across his bottom lip to lap up the remains of coffee there before glancing back over at the teenagers who seem to be getting up to get ready to go now that they’ve finished their drinks. Maybe teenagers are just something Grimmjow won’t ever understand, he’s not even sure there’s a point in trying to understand them.
