Traces
Final Photography Project : celebrate scars, life traces on our body. Through my camera’s lens, scars will be seen as a signature, a distinctive sign of each one of us.
I like :
the ocean, hot sand, sunsets, hot wind during summer, felines, gorgonzola, good pasta, fried pumpkin flowers, Campari, Prosecco, old cars, train trips, the smell of parasol pines in the south of France, the singing of cicadas, singing in the car with my friends, sleeping in freshly washed sheets, plants, botanical gardens, old libraries, neons signs, cheesecake, mangos, denim jeans, oversized sweaters, tomboy outfits, the smell of leather, Street Art, astrology, looking at the stars, Tom Hardy, Paris, Italian villas, interior design, ceramics, decoration, the smell of cigars, driving alone while listening to music, 90s’ r’n’b, French rap.
I don’t like :
people who wear flip flops in big cities, racism, sexism, beets, texting with people I don’t know, watching the sun rise, pigeons, Rihanna, people who cut their salad, wet socks, overcrowded subways, 20s’ theme parties, red socks, garbage on the ground, rats, matcha, politics, my birthday, Christmas, cheating, going alone to the restaurant, Michael Jackson, the sound of wet sneakers on the floor, driving too fast, avocados, grey days, rainy mornings, waiting at the airport.
Traces
Not the ones we leave but the ones we have, the ones that mark our bodies, the ones that make us who we are. Scars as traces, life traces that we carry always.
Our scars, as small or big as they are, as serious or funny as they are, are part of ourselves. Marking our bodies and sometimes our mind and soul, they always do make up a little history of us.
You can try to hide them, to attenuate them - but the truth is, to assume its scars is a bold and beautiful gesture. They are part of our identity and one should not be ashamed of it. Wear them proudly.
