Okay so the post I made about me and Liam enjoying the livestream of the concert last night made me wanna do something because the world is a bit shit right now and we all could use it

Talk about one positive thing you’ve done or experienced in the last 24 hours. It can be anything at all that made you smile. I’m just gonna summarize mine from earlier:

Last night Liam and I watched the livestream VOD of the Noah Kahan concert at Red Rocks and sang every song together and just spent a good two hours enjoying no interruptions of real life and no chaos and no expectations. I needed the reminder that me and my adventure buddy can have just as much fun on adventures at home ☺️

Mine starts of not-so-happy but the happy part is coming, I swear!

My younger sister went to the ER yesterday with intense abdominal pain. I had the same thing six years ago. They didn’t find anything, on her or I, but ten months after I went in I experienced the same pain again and it ended up being an ovarian cyst. I don’t know what’s wrong with my sister—and believe me, they looked for cysts yesterday—but I do know she’ll get through it just fine. Still, it sucks to be in that much pain without any discernible reason for it, and for so long, so I decided I was going to crochet her an amigurumi dog. I started too late in the day to do all of it, but I figured I could at least do the head and give it to her.

I did the head wrong. From almost the very beginning, actually, meaning I had to unravel most of it. So I did so, then started over again (the correct way), then went to bed with plans to finish it (all of it, body included) today.

Here’s the silver lining, the one positive thing: I didn’t give up. I’m not giving up. I tried something new for the first time (this is my first attempt at amigurumi), didn’t succeed, but didn’t give up. And I will work at this until I do succeed. Hopefully, by tonight, I’ll be able to give it to her.

I’ve been trying to find a pattern for a specific looking small amigurumi cat and hadn’t been able to find one that looked just right. So after SEVERAL starts and stops and restarts yesterday, I finally made my own pattern adapted from two close-ish ones and IT WORKED!!!

So now I have my normal size kitty and it’s little sidekick ☺️ and the satisfaction of realizing, hey I CAN do this even when it’s hard!

my positive thing from the last 24 hours is definitely either 1) my friend i've been talking with, like, 24/7 who is so, so cool and just completely a beautiful person. they make me smile all day and also laugh hysterically a few times daily too, which everyone needs. OR it's 2) the fact that my boss just texted and said i don't have to come into work today!! which i didn't see coming, but hey, i'm not gonna QUESTION it.

Dude ok so yesterday i ran a race to end out a running camp I've been in. It was about 4 kilometers or 2.5 miles so not that bad. I expected to get out at maybe a 7:15 first mile and average at 7:30, but I managed to pass the mile mark at 5:53 and average 6:22 pace! Suuuuper fast!(p.s. that's what I was running for races on a *flat track* during track season)

my happy thing was that last night i spent a bunch of time with my older sibling Archie going over work and just talking. i do politics in college (uk college) and they used to and got top grades and is super into politics. literally part of local campaigns and is aiming to be a politician. my family is very independent, so we usually do our own thing so it was rly nice to have this time with them. we also talked about oestrogen bc we’re both nonbinary / trans fem and that was rly nice!!

but it’s about to get better bc my bfs coming over today!!! it’s our 1 month and i’m super excited!!!! raaah he’s so cool!! hi bf!!!
