He sees y’all. He’s gonna keep an optic on your silliness.
war--machine:
Dull lighting from the weapon hangar pulled Ironhide from his thoughts as he strolled across the base, prompting a soft, less than amused, rumble from his engine. He could have sworn he told those recruits to be sure that everything powered down when they left, lights included, and to shut the fragging door. He walked closer to the room’s entrance, distantly wondering if he had the authority to make human soldiers run laps, and peered in.
Of all the strange happenings in the base, the last thing he’d expected was to find the red frame of Mirage watching old hoographic images flitter across the walls. Okay, maybe there were one or two things he expected less, like the twins reciting Shakespeare or something, but this was certainly high on the list.
Rapping his knuckles on the frame of the entrance, Ironhide let himself be known before he spoke.
“Doin’ alright there, kid?”
He understood full well the impact this war was having on his friends and team, how much it could hurt at times. They’d all lost people they loved and cared for, whether or not they cared to admit so. He’d never really talked all that much with Mirage, but he was willing to listen if the other was willing to talk.
Or he could let him be.
The red frame’s doorwings instantly lifted in a startled manner, helm twisted around to face the other mech. The break in his focus caused the hologram around him to flicker out into nothing, darkness sweeping over and leaving behind the blue glow of his widened optics.
“Ironhide?” The name slipped out as the spy stumbled to his pedes, palms out and servos up in surrender; as though he expected to be attacked or scolded. Either were not uncommon. “Mi dispiace -- I’m sorry -- I thought everyone had gone to recharge. I didn’t mean to disturb you.”
It took a moment; Ironhide didn’t sound angry, had used a nickname of sorts. Digits twitched and Mirage averted his gaze.
“Homesick,” he added in an attempt to answer Ironhide’s question. He settled back down but soon found Ironhide with his optics, allowing the doorwings to lower and rest against his back. “Unimportant. The medic -- was his name Ratchet, I think so -- would probably scold me for wasting the energy on such silly things. Perhaps we keep this between the two of us.”
A short pause, “you may join me. I have captures of all over Cybertron. Name a place and I can display it.”
@war--machine
The night was late enough that most of his comrades had long since retreated off to recharge. Humans long have gone and allowed the cherry red sports car to sneak away from the masses. He crept easily from the main hanger, where Sideswipe was currently practicing some sort of military drill that made no sense to the spy.
He advanced across the base, easily overriding the locking mechanism for the weaponry hanger. It was spacious and private enough that he wouldn’t be disturbed, he’d seen the blueprints, along with every other inch of the base.
He was deemed untrustworthy and should move quickly, he didn’t know how much time he had left before someone sought him. He sat in the center of the room, a few flickers followed before lights of holographs filled the walls.
Cybertron. Before a war ripped the planet apart, smiling faces and happy families. A calmness gripped his very core, while he was scanning over each inch of the walls around him, where images were carefully merged together.
And for a moment, he didn’t care if he was caught and scolded; he was happy where he was.
Like for a (tiny) starter.
“Saluti!”
He hasn’t even been back that long and his dash is already filling weird. Weird, organic type of things. Things he doesn’t want to see. Please stop.
My cheerleaders.
I have crawled out of my grave.

Rubs the back of his neck a bit nervously. "Hey what color is that? Fire Engine red or Candy apple red?" He smiled, running his other hand over Mirage's panels.
Blinking bright blue optics, the spy stared down at the curious human with a strange mixture of suspicion and amusement. Was he being flirted with? How cute.
“Candy apple red, I believe the shop said. I asked for something… attractive after my rebuild, and was told this would do.”
There was a twinkle of mischief within the glow of his optics, mouth curving into a sly smile soon after.
“Do you approve, lo sir? I hear you have rather impressive taste.”
"Hello, may I know who's this?" Blackcomb crossed his arms, watching over this striking red mech.
“Saluti!”
Seeing no threat from the strange, the crimson spy’s doors shifting upright with the greeting and a short, informal wave occurred.
“Mirage–though the humans dubbed me Dino at one point. You are?”
💪:->> “I am Blackcomb, ex Autobot, now, lone traveller.” He answered, “Nice to meet you Dino.” He offered the other a servo to shake. >>
“A Neutral? That must be... difficult.”
Blue optics dropped to the offered servo, Mirage’s helm tipped to one side and confusion marred his face briefly. He had seen greetings such as this before and it took a ridiculous effort to remember the steps but he managed. He gripped the servo firmly and shook, a flicker of doorwings repeated, then he smiled and released the other mech.
“We do not have much to offer any sort of traveler but I could see about getting you a place to stay and rest until you wish to move.”
He held up little cue cards ( which were in reality, poster ) squinting at them. "Hey there, do you co--" Hot Rod fumbled with them and dropped them on the ground, looked around; shooting finger guns and winking. "Hey there, handsome~~"
Blue optics shifted between the scattered posters and the mech that had held them moments earlier. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his mouth and he took a few confident steps forward, stopping just short of the taller mech. He reached up, cupping a servo around the back of Hot Rod’s helm then gave a short pull to bring him close and down to his height.
“Amato...”
The word was purred out, a slow rumble of his engine. His EM field hummed with affection and amusement. A contentment blanketed him as he nuzzled his helm against the other’s.
“What did I do to deserve you, hm?”
“Who did this?”
Send “who did this?” to find my muse with a black eye and busted lip
Izabella jutted out her bloody lip, trying not to show her discomfort.
“Some guy was saying bad things about you all. I told him that you guys are better people than he’ll ever be. He didn’t like that.”
stayandfight:
Izabella laughed, climbing on his palm. Paying him a visit to remind him not to talk shit did sound fun, but…
“I don’t think Optimus would like it if we did that.”
She crossed her arms indignantly.
“And I do so have to protect you. You protect us, so why not protect you too?”
Mirage carefully lifted her to face level and considered the Optimus’s unhappiness, for a split second at least.
“He doesn’t have to know. I won’t tell him if you don’t. Besides, we are to protect humanity still, correct? This falls into that category. He would be proud.”
His optics shutter then brighten.
“We are very much able to protect ourselves. Especially against words. Words hold little meaning against an ancient race, particularly when anything that will be said has been in the past. And by larger, more significant beings than a brute that becomes physical when confronted with a different opinion than his own.
“Do not mistake this as me being ungrateful--as I said, I’m proud of you and it is appreciated to know that you won’t turn against us with the masses--but instead, I’m worried. He could have hurt you, piccola--no, he did hurt you. It could have been worse and that is troubling, I would miss you dearly if something happened to you, you see.”
A pause, then a slow vent out. The servo that she wasn’t standing on came up, dragging across his crimson helm in frustration--though not directed at the girl.
“Look at me, rambling off like an old man. How about this; no more fighting for us until I’ve proper showed you a few moves to disarm and bring an opponent down hard?”
"Potrei guardarti tutto il giorno."
I dare you to flirt with my muse. | Accepting
“Voglio passare il resto della mia vita con te.”

A surprised whirr and doorwings instantly raise, a quiet twitch of plating. An embarrassment burned through his spark, the spy turning his attention almost shyly away from the human.
“You have been practicing, Caro.”
He should probably stop using pet names now that Will understood them. Oh well, too late. Let him die of embarrassment now.
songbirdoftyran:
“So then…there’s no minimum size limit?”
“Of course not. I’m merely against giant brutes who could probably pick me up and throw me over their shoulder. It’s embarrassing.”
