headcanon no. 1:   the events of super eight change jack lamb’s behavior very little.   he promises to get better, and for a while after cooper, he does try.  but jack is a very self absorbed man, and thinks little outside of himself, eventually falling back on neglectful behavior leaving joe to basically raise himself.   jack never faces any repercussions for this, except for joe’s growing dislike of his father, because he’s a cop.
