Optimus and Rose watched the scene with interest, though when it was over, Roselight couldn’t help quipping “You’re like a living History Channel DVR.”
“Don’t tell me you weren’t thinking the same thing,” she said, then tilted her helm slightly. She let out a sigh and stood up. “I’ll be right back.” She headed to the hallway back to the bedrooms, and they could faintly hear her say “If I have to go in because some idiot doesn’t know the difference between a fuel line and a coolant line…”
Optimus smiled. “She’s becoming more like her carrier every day. And Ratchet. A lot like Ratchet.” Though he was thankful that she did not have the same wish to become a “party jet” like his friend had been as a junior medic.
“Well, it’s been fun chatting and all but I’ll take my leave from here.” Liege commented and stood up casually as if the bonds Roselight put him in meant nothing. He let a small smirk cross his lips.
Solus’s optics widened. “B-But…how- you were tied!” she tried asking him how he escaped being tied up. She looked completely dumbfounded. Liege just chuckled. “I only sat there because I wanted to sit there. Not because she tied me. I’m a Prime too. I could have easily beaten her but I didn’t want to ruin his precious parenting work. At least not yet.” He nudged to Optimus and snickered. He then decided to sit on the couch casually instead of actually leaving so he could see the Primes sparkling have a reaction. He took joy in making bots scared. He crossed his legs while getting all comfortable. He looked at his claws while he waited.
“Perhaps, I’ll go for Elita first instead.” He chuckled. “Maybe I’ll manipulate her so much that her powers will eventually be used for a much darker reason.”
Vector suddenly grew protective and took out one of his time blades, pointing it at Maximo. “Do not dare to threaten with her powers.” Liege smirked at Vector. “Oh, Vector, you and I both know what happens when she dives too deep into that realm. It’s what happened to your other Elita that you tested on in another universe, didn’t it?” That was when Vector lowered his weapon and backed up then looked away. He wasn’t too pleased with this. He was sure Optimus wouldn’t be either.
Then all of the sudden Elita came out of the bath she was taking, dried up, and got dressed quickly all at once. She was all clean and shiny again nonetheless. She then seemed to run into the living area where all the Primes were and waited at the door, bouncing in excitement while fluttering her door wings. “My package should be here any moment!” And that it was. She counted the seconds down with her digits then opened the door when the knock came. She grabbed her package then slammed the door after grabbing it. She paid for it already so she was all set. She squealed for a moment and walked to the island table. She grabbed something to help her open up the box and grabbed the item inside, holding it with both servos. “My book is here! Oh, Look at the sweet cover!” She grinned and showed them the shiny effects to it.
Solus looked at Maximo with a smirk as if silently saying: Is this really who you want to be evil? Maximo rolled his optics and grew as if he was unhappy with all the happiness around. He didn’t like to see happiness in bots. He likes seeing them upset or scared.
Vector chuckled softly as he watched Elita being this excited. “You act as if you’re Alpha. He used to be like this when new books came in.” He commented. Then the realization hit her….Elita’s optics widened in disbelief. Then a sudden wave of panicking went through the bond with Optimus, causing her door wings to lower. She tried hiding her faceplates behind the book as she faced Vector. She looked at her book then froze for a moment. “Am I becoming Alpha?!” She bit her lower lip, in fear of taking some traits from their former mentor.
Optimus glared at Liege for the suggestion he would hurt Rose. He found himself wishing he hadn’t dropped the Star Saber off at the Hall of Records.
When Elita came out and started to get upset, Optimus quickly wrapped her in a hug. “There’s nothing wrong with picking up traits from Alpha. There are much worse mechs you could emulate.” He leaned in and whispered in her audial. “You could start acting like Vector, for example.” He pressed a kiss to the side of her helm.
Roselight came out from the hall a minute later, still shaking her helm at whatever the subject of her call was about. She had a datapad in servo, reading it over when she looked up and saw Liege on the couch. She looked from him, to the chair, to him again, and wordlessly chucked the datapad at his helm.
