Disillusion - Leaf & Silver
Silver went quiet; Leafâs words weighed more heavily on his mind than he would have expected. Did he think she was weak because she let Silver help her out? That question had a complicated answer which was neither âyesâ or ânoâ. He was certain, however, that he knew Leaf was a lot stronger than he had thought when they first met.
His own immediate feelings about Leafâs weakness or strength didnât sit well with him. After all, if he didnât think Leaf was weak for allowing Silver to help her out and care for her, then what business did he have acting like it would be a personal failing for him to accept help?
Silver moaned and pulled the blanket over his head. He did not need to be having epiphanies with how ill he felt.
"Iâll be fine," he said faintly. "Just let me get some rest."
Leaf chuckled slightly. "Alrighty then, grumpypants," she said, hopping off the bed and heading for the door, "I won't be gone long. I'll try not to get lost!"
With that she closed the door behind her, leaning against it for several moments as the ship swayed beneath her feet. "I know you'll be fine..." she whispered softly, "But don't be afraid to let me help you out every now and again."
Straightening up, Leaf pushed all her worries away and set off to explore the ship, humming a little to herself. She released Eevee from its Pokeball for company, and the duo headed down the long hall in the flickering light.
