i might as well elaborate on what that meme i posted said. this is regarding korekiyos backstory and going by we know i believe he is a victim in regards to what happened with his sister. (also as an aside im way less salty about drv3 and im gonna buy the game. all the fake leak stuff has been over and done with for months)

first off: the age difference and how she was specifically his OLDER sister. older relatives are generally in a position of power over you—especially in asian culture from my experience where those older than you are supposed to be treated respectfully. (which is why you refer even those who aren’t related to you as what youd call an older brother/sister, as a sign of respect in various cultures in asia) from how she is portrayed id say shes meant to be an adult (ie the way shes drawn is closer to how hiroko looks than to how the teenage female characters look)

some time has passed between her death and when the game takes place. she did not die recently. so korekiyo would have been a younger teen when all this stuff with them happened (and i assume, his sister is portrayed how old she was when she died) in these cases the blame isnt be put on the minor for these things—the adult is responsible for not initiating anything with minors

she probably took care of him growing up too. not going to out and out say there was any grooming going on because thats a reach but that is definitely a misuse and abuse of someones trust in/dependency on you. basically doing sexual things with someone you took care of when they were a child is Really Not Right and all

the tags are bold face now. which means they are drawing your attention more than actual post content. this contrasts with how they used to be gray, and in a smaller font than the body of the post—reflecting how you’re not supposed to be paying attention to the tags as much as the content.

but now nope, they rip your attention away from the content and make you look at them. why the fuck tumblr. why would you make it like this

guys guys is this telegraphing the end? i think this shows that if things between sangwoo and bum get to the point where its like bum and his classmate bum would be able to kill him. an indicator of this is sangwoo has absolutely no idea about bums classmate. rather he, thinking mainly about himself as usual, is convinced bum is doing this to be with him. as of this point, he would not see it coming.

reason 1: bum is legitimately a creep.

ok i know you guys like him because hes drawn to be cute or whatever but if you were to think about meeting him in real life, how would you react to him? lets put this into context here. bum hasnt been able to bathe properly as a result of sangwoo holding him captive, and probably doesnt anyway. hes very underweight. and, hes very socially stunted. how do you feel when you see someone like that? your instinctual response would be to say that you feel sorry for them, or pity them. thats what jieun began with pretty much. not to mention a lot of bums behaviors are unhealthy and shit and you can usually tell a creeper by seeing one. i wouldnt blame her for pre-judging him in a society where stalking is a huge ass deal, so people are more aware of the people who look kinda ‘off’ (bum, obv)

reason 2: if you had a hot date and he brought his creepy friend, how would you feel

ok so sangwoos hot. yeah weve established this. pretend that youre gonna get a piece of a dude youve been in love with for like a year and then suddenly you get this awkward third wheel you never asked for. wouldnt you be a bit pissed too? jieuns been lead to believe that sangwoo is REALLY into her and maybe sangwoos gonna be the love of her life or whatever and then BAM this random dude hes never talked about before shows up, and shes rightfully confused and distressed about him being there. was she a bit extra? yeah, but having a extreme personality seems to be part of jieun as a person. we dont have enough information on her to go around calling her a psycho bitch cause she got upset she got cockblocked. unless youre salty shes getting in the way of your yaois

reason 3: SANGWOO AND BUM ARE GOING TO KILL HER

ok this is more about the most recent chapters, BUT

i dont think i really need to justify this reason because the amount of hate she gets for acting RATIONALLY when faced with two potential murderers is astounding.

well that was definitely a wild fucking ride. holy shit. i think we could all expect jieun to end up in that situation by virtue of being unfortunate enough to not only be in close proximity to sangwoo but also interested in him, but the circumstances were really unexpected

i think it was pretty much expected that sangwoo meant for bum to kill her, but. who would have thought that sangwoo would come to bums defense there and that would be part of it. dudes unpredictable af still

and anyway who would have thought hed have gone on an edgy diatribe about Shallow People(tm) after being hit in the face like is that the best time for that

it seems like he hates people who find him attractive but then freak out and dont anymore when they learn he kills people. (so he cant stand people with common sense basically) and that would explain why he feels differently about bum. the way he sees it he found someone who seems to love him unconditionally. and the way he sees love is as some form of support.

i mean he says in ch 5:

and so on when he says he needs bums help and asks if he loves him.

in his opinion love is something to prop him up. it might have to do with what happened with his parents and specifically how he perceived his mother, and he definitely thinks of bum as being like his mother.

also i believe this is the very first instance of any visible physical damage on sangwoo (which is interesting compared to bum whos been bandaged up since the early chapters): his finger is bleeding from where bum bit him, and his eye was red after jieun punched him. i dont know what it means, but i thought it was interesting to note
