How are you developing style to build your argument in the content analysis?

I am trying to be more intentional about sounding academic without overcomplicating my writing. I focus on being clear and precise, especially when defining categories like aspirational and relational. Instead of just describing what I see, I connect each section back to my research question. My style is developing through consistency. Clear definitions, repeated terms, and structured headings help build the argument without me having to over explain.

What does your final revision process look like?

My final revision process is a bit chaotic, some of my previous submission was messy and rushed, so I am making up for that in this final draft before our actual finalized version. Currently I am taking time to highlight where my weak spots are based on the grade feedback, and working to collect my final graphs and photographs that should be included. After my visuals are finalized I am going to work on revising and adding writing where our professor pointed out I was missing or lacking explanations and information.

how will having a good revision process help you moving forward beyond this class?

You will always be revising in your work. Whether you're creating inter-company emails, viral social media posts, data-heavy research essays, or even texting your family and friends, you will always be revising. It only helps you to refine your revision process (yes, even revise your process!) and use the resulting methods to make your content as persuasive as possible!

what did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?

I learned that my process can be kind of messy. I tend to move all over the place when writing essays instead of focusing on one section at a time. While this works for me, it can lead to more editing during the final draft to make things more cohesive. 

I think this project helped me recognize that I should not jump around when writing essays, and try to stick to one idea at a time. This method will also limit my own confusion and hopefully increase clarity within my writing.

Peer review

One of the comments I got from Dr. P is that I should not have images of my data collection (I have one of these for each of the creators). She said I should have graphs instead of a spreadsheet. It would be really helpful to know what kind of graphs you are putting for this huge collection of data.

These are some of the graphs I have later on in my project. This is not included in the question I asked above. I have a graph of Average percentage of comments and Video Comparison of average views, and one comparing the averages of likes. Are these graphs and the following explanation good. Could I make these graphs better?

These are the images I included for examples of Zach Choi's posts. One of the comments I got from Dr. P is to include more posts. I included an examples like this from each creator. How many image post examples did you included in yours and how did you incorporate them?

What did you learn about drafting across multiple weeks?

Working on a project across multiple weeks completely changed how I think about drafting. Instead of treating drafts as temporary or incomplete, I started seeing them as thinking tools. Each week helped me clarify my research question, refine my analysis, and improve how I explained my data. Drafting over time also made feedback more useful because I could actually apply it instead of rushing to “fix” everything at once. This process showed me that strong writing develops through revision and reflection, not speed, and that early drafts don’t need to be perfect to be productive.

I hope that after college, my writing process of organizing my data through careful placement of the heading, and each section of my essay reflecting off the recorded data I used, will continue to be improved on.

Original Content Writing - What did you learn about drafting across multiple weeks that will inform your writing process after college?

Being given multiple weeks of drafting opportunities allowed me to be able to better process how much work and time I will be able to put into writing my papers. Outside of class, I hope that my drafting process that I have developed will help me with any paper related inquires that I may possibly be tasked with whenever I'm outside of college.

I feel having a good revision process will help me continue with feeling more confident with any papers I have to write outside of class. Having more knowledge of how I should revise my papers will allow me to be more presentable to any reader, and in return makes me more confident in being able to look and rewrite my papers going beyond this class.

I have developed my style through having each topic discussed in my essay be clearly separated. One area of my essay discusses who the content creators are what type of content types are produced by the content creators, another section is explaining the recorded data of each content creator, and the final section discusses all the outcomes and conclusions of the recorded data of each content creator.

Original Content Writing - What does your final revision process look like?

I start with finishing any changes from existing critiques of any specific section of my essay. After that, I start to reread my entire essay in making sure that everything I have wanted to write is in the essay. I hope to use the reread as an opportunity to see if there are any last-minute grammar fixes or any possible rewrites I'll have to do for a section of my essay. While I'm rereading my essay, I also make sure that any images I have added to my essay is correctly aligned and fit with which section of the essay I'm currently discussing.

The data elements help show me which of the content types that have the most engagement with the content creator's userbase compared to the other type of the content that the content creator will also post.

Data that show how a user can engage with a content creator's given content, such as viewing, liking/disliking, and commenting on the content creator's post. The given ways the recorded data matter in the space helps show the content creator which types of content alienate with their audience the most, and how they can use the engagement as a way of continuing to grow and improve their content.

I will be adding additional sections of my draft that go into the content creator's own userbase, being who interacts with the content creators, and what type of content does the users like to engage with compared to a content creators' other type of content.

Original Content Writing - now that you've been working with the content of your content creators, what is content strategy? How will you use this in your Content Analysis Project?

I view content strategy as "What a content creator or corporation changes in their type of content in order to draw in a consistent userbase that will engage in their content." I will use this information as a way of understanding which content types made by my selected content creators have shown to be the most engaging with their userbase, and how it connects back to who and what type of users engage with a content creator's content.

Orginial Content Writing - REMEMBER: subheadings help the academic reader navigate your Analysis project - what subheading will you use that helps design this information architecture most efficiently, why?

I have two subheadings for each section of my essay, my first subheading (Heading) will be what the entire section of my essay is currently talking about (Ex. One section about 'Content Types', and another section about 'recorded data'. My second subheading (Heading 2) will define each topic inside my defined heading (Ex. Inside 'Content Types', I will have a second subheading for each type of content type (Ex, one for bowling tips, another subheading for bowling challenges). I feel me using subheading will help the reader of my essay understand where which sections of my essay where specific information is stored, and which types of information is located inside the first heading.

I feel good with what I have been going with when it comes to drafting my essay. for the essay draft itself, I practically have a good outline of what each section of my essay will be, I have also decided on which subheadings I will use in order to already separate which parts of my essay I'm currently discussing.
