Remember how, when Louis turned Madeleine in IWTV season 2, he saw all of these memories from her mortal life; and then eventually he saw Claudia start to appear in those memories, and seeing Claudia from Madeline’s loving perspective was this very affecting and profound emotional experience for him?
So now imagine you're turning someone you’ve known for a very long time. You see flashes of their life from their perspective, including parts of their life that you were around for, parts that even involve you... again, from their point-of-view. You're seeing yourself as someone else sees you. Whether those are bad memories or good memories, that would potentially be really painful and unsettling.
And then imagine that as fast as you’ve received that information it goes away. No more getting into their head. You can’t clarify or investigate further. Your access is revoked. Because of you.
Anyway, that's why I think Armand ran after turning Daniel.

Daniel names them in his Masterclass ad in the IWTV pilot too. ("I've been fired from three papers, hired back at two of them. Third got gobbled up by Knight Ridder.") They owned papers all over the country... including the Miami Herald. But "the blackout years at"? The homophone of it all?
you really can't cornplate this show you'll always find out the corn is some specific strain that only grows on islands off the coast of florida and the design on the edges of the plate reads "happy 25th birthday daniel" in vèneto if you flip it upside down

Okay, but... The interview started well over a month before that?
It lasted two weeks at most, so the turning did not happen in Dubai... What happened? What HAPPENED?
Now, you could reasonably ask for the Sunday Times at any point in the week. But still. That's potentially more time between the interview and Daniel's death/turning than the interview himself. What was he doing and where was he??
