Daniel's daughter checks in after however many years and is like whyyyyy are you hanging out with a guy from my Harold team and it turns out she and Armand did improv together at UCB in New York from like 2004 to 2014. Daniel never found out because why would he go to an improv show? Hard pass. Not his scene at all. Both of them were hoping he'd show up eventually but he never did.
No sex no kissing no good characterization just one long confusing kiki with lots of boring references to the Del Close Marathon and sweep edits and a reverence for Neil Casey. Why? Because I think it would be funny. This is how my brain works unfortunately.
Once again I still think it would be funny to introduce a Molloy daughter and have her immediately turn to Armand and say something like oh hey Armie. Do you remember me? It's Katie. We were in Acting for Non-Majors together? I actually think we had a lot of classes together, randomly? You look amazing, BTW. How do you know my dad?

and no I'm not trying to say it's a metaphor the SHOW is trying to make or anything. I do, however, think that Armand is a weirdo thesp and would make bizarre half references to Pulitzer prize-winning plays* as jokes to himself even if it meant referring to himself as a disease. i would love to think that this play is as top of mind for the writers as it is for me. it's not unlikely!

fandom etiquette as a whole died when people who didn’t grow up on fandoms became stans during lockdown, yes, but why am i seeing people openly mocking fics on twitter. why am i seeing screenshots of fics with captions like “bro what is this 😭.” why am i seeing people mock fic writers for not knowing how sports or theater or college or any other organization operates in the real world.
“college is absolutely nothing like this” “why are we writing four people on the team scoring a hat trick in one game” “so tech work is nothing like this, hope that helps!”
if you don’t like a fic, and if you can’t suspend your belief enough to enjoy a fic that exaggerates or ignores real-world orgs, you don’t have to read it. you don’t have to screenshot it and put it on blast for twitter. you don’t have to post a link to it in the replies. the back button is literally there on your phone. it’s not giving baby’s first fandom anymore, it’s giving entitled asshole and it isn’t as cute as you think it is.
