Photographer Donna Dotan created these dazzling, symmetrical images by photographing the reflections in Manhattan skyscrapers.
In a recent interview, Donna wrote, “I’d always thought that New York City had already been photographed from every point of view. But the beauty of photography is that there’s always a new perspective to be discovered.”

Italian photographer Sandro Giordano has developed one of the most clever and hilarious Instagram projects we’ve seen to date.
In the series he dubs In Extremis, Sandro stages the exact moment after a particularly unflattering fall. Make sure to check out his entire feed below!

While we usually think of photography as a personal experience between us and our camera, there’s no denying that the art form is becoming increasingly social.
The latest endeavor that caught our attention is the curiously named app 2by2!, which allows you to create double exposures cooperatively with other random users.

These candid photos of dancers in totally random places are oh so good. Jordan Matter teamed up with anyone unafraid of a few questioning looks to produce an awesome series entitled Dancers Among Us.

It comes at the most random times.
In the car, on the street, in the shower, in the store, during a conversation, while putting paint on a canvas, during a hug, while reading a book, in the morning, afternoon, evening, and especially in my dreams at night. It comes without warning. My heart will never understand it.

I've been talking with a friend recently about easy pain versus hard pain. It's easy to ramble on about things that are easy to talk about/the most obvious. It's even easy to make yourself believe that those things are why you hurt. But what about the things closest to your heart? The things you don't share. The things that hurt so bad your broken mind can't even think about it in a moment of sanity. The things you don't even know how to pray about. The things that seem redundant, but never go away. I've heard it said that the ones who keep silent hurt the worst. And maybe that's true, or maybe the ones who speak the most actually hurt the worst because they're not speaking about the things that matter. I've struggled with severe anxiety for a couple of years now. Last summer was really bad, but I had the courage to get treated. Asking for help was one of the hardest things I've done, but a good friend helped me through it. Several weeks ago, I started struggling with it again, and I didn't really tell anyone. Anxiety is one of those hard pains for me. There's a word I've written across my arm: Courage. cour·age /ˈkərij/ Noun The ability to do something that frightens one. Strength in the face of pain or grief. Synonyms bravery - valour - valor - pluck - gallantry - nerve We all need a little bit of courage. Courage to get it right. Courage to be the best person we can. Courage to love. Courage to be honest. Courage to live-to be alive. Courage for our friends.
He saw clearly how plain and simple – how narrow, even – it all was; but clearly, too, how much it all meant to him, and the special value of some such anchorage in one’s existence.
Kenneth Grahame, The Wind In The Willows (via psalm138-8)
There's something just a little bit sad
about having life changing experiences, and no one to share them with.
People are flakes
They complain about wanting realness in their lives. Real conversations, real people, real convictions. But then when those things approach them head on, they bail. Sooner or later they won't come anymore.
