Hi guys! So, I have seen these cool boxes around and I randomly found one at Target and knew I needed to have it! Especially because I wanted to refresh the way I do reviews. I had a hashtag previously, #stephanieleannebookishreview but I would like this one to be for 2018 #stephaniebookishreview - So, last year I read The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater and I wasn’t exactly impressed at the time. I think I have it a 3 🌟 but I recently finished the rest of the series and fell in love. I wasn’t sure if I had changed or it was the timing of when I first picked up TRB. So @bookwormkristie decided to reread the series and I’d have to say, I’m so glad I chose to reread this book because it definitely because a 5/5 🌟 for me. I was able to connect so much more to the characters, I caught onto things I completely missed, and I gained a new appreciation for Maggie’s writing style. - I feel that is you had a hard time with the first book but still want to try the rest of the series definitely push through. I am currently reading four books at one time. This is something that happens to me frequently because I can never make up my mind an there are too many books I want to read so I try and fit in as many as my brain can handle. I’m rereading The Raven Cycle with Kristie, mainly because when I finally got around to finishing the series it had been too long in between the first two books. I’m also reading The Astonishing Color of After, which has been an amazing surprise. I started Shatter Me because I see it everywhere on here and one of my friends loves the series to pieces. It’s International Women’s Day, so I would love it if you tagged inspiring, badass women and friends in the comments! I haven’t been reviewing as much as normal because I’ve been trying to work out a more comprehensive rating system, one that’s a little more in-depth that an overall rating, since we all read for different things (plot, pace, world building, etc.). I’ve also been working on taking photos I enjoy rather than trying to stick to a strict theme, I’ve always had a hard time with that, so I’ve decided it’s time to get over it. I also have a few project ideas I’d like to concentrate on that will go on bookstagram and YouTube. Speaking of YouTube, I’ve realized I really enjoy reading vlogs and I’ll be doing more like that! If you could give me your favorite middle grade read, aside from Harry and Percy, what do you think it would be? - I’ve randomly been intrigued by middle grade, especially The Land of Stories and Furthermore.
