Hawaiʻi Dance Community Rallies to Support Annual High-Level Dance Event
HONOLULU, HI – January 13, 2026 – Event organizers Leanski (Lino Delgado) and Bo (Boaz Rosen) are seeking community support to preserve an annual dance event that has been bringing world-class talent to Hawaiʻi while celebrating local artists for the past five years.
The event, which offers free admission to the community, brings international dance competitors and artists to the islands who give back through complimentary workshops and community engagement. This year, however, organizers face unique challenges following an unexpected rebranding effort that has impacted their traditional fundraising timeline.
“Our mission has always been to highlight and uplift Hawaiʻi’s local artists while gifting the wider community a free event that reflects the culture, values, and spirit of what we are building together,” said the organizers. “Each year, we work tirelessly to raise funds through sponsors and local businesses to support the many moving parts required to produce an event of this scale.”
Despite securing several sponsors, the event still requires additional funding to cover essential costs including sound setup, media production, and compensation for judges and DJs traveling to Hawaiʻi.
The organizers have consistently invested their own personal funds to keep the event alive and remain committed to making it happen regardless of funding challenges. However, this year they are humbly asking their community for support through a GoFundMe campaign.
“This event is truly a labor of love, and as long as we are able, we will always find a way to make it happen—with community at the heart of everything we do,” the organizers stated.
The fundraising goal is $5,000, with $4,354 raised to date from 64 donors. Those unable to contribute financially are encouraged to attend and support the event through their presence.
