He was holding back his tears.
Hugging your aunt in your Trailer and holding back his tears.
You heard every single word she said. She had his baby in Highschool, gave it away and now he’s dead, because she turned him away.
Why did no one ever tell you that your aunt Alice Cooper and your fiancé FP Jones were dating back in high school and she had his baby?
You and FP were dating for 4 years now. It started before all that crap happened with Jason Blossom and Hiram Lodge. And 6 months ago he asked you to marry him. It was really nonchalant. And that’s totally him and you loved it. You never pictured him going down on one knee and reciting a very romantic speech.
You were both sitting on the couch watching something on the tv and he just got the ring box from under a pillow and put it in your hand. You put the ring on and that’s that. You were engaged. You, (Y/N) Smith were engaged to FP Jones.
And now you stood there in front of your shared trailer. Watching him holding back his tears because your Aunt told him the news. Why now? Why is she telling him now after 25 years and just moments after you came out of your mom’s trailer with a positive pregnancy test in your hand excited to tell FP.
You watched them for what seemed liked just a few moments. Just as you wanted to leave because you couldn’t watch that scene anymore, he turned around and looked you straight in the eyes.
You could see how hurt he was from just his eyes. They were sad and also a little angry.
Your own eyes definitely were full of sadness but no one knows if he saw that because he closed the door right in your face.
And that was your sign to run.
Run right back to your mom’s trailer with tears falling down your face.
You knocked on the door and your mom opened the door with the words: “Oh (Y\N) did you forget something?”
And that’s when she saw the tears and the pain in your eyes.
“(Y/N), what happened? Did you tell him?”
“No mom. I got no chance. When I got to our trailer the door was open and he was hugging your sister. And he saw me. He saw me standing there, but he just closed the door. Why didn’t you tell me that they were dating in Highschool and that she was pregnant with his baby?”
“Oh sweetheart. I knew they were dating back then and I thought FP told you. But I didn’t know who the father of Alice baby was. She never told anyone. We all just assumed it was Hal’s baby.”
Your mom Nancy and her twin sister Alice couldn’t be more different. While your aunt betrayed the Serpents and the Southside and went of to the Northside, marrying Hal Cooper to play happy family. Your mom stayed. She was married to her high school sweetheart from three trailers down and is still a proud, but not so active, Serpent.
The only thing they have in common is their teen pregnancy. But your mom kept the baby. You.
“Recently all I see is her by his side. HER picking him up from jail. He helping HER to get rid of a body that chic killed. Him letting HER daughter stay at our trailer without asking me. HER turning up at our trailer with chic to make plans what to do after the police found the car in the swamp. Why do I have the feeling that my aunt is trying to steel my fiancé away from me and why does he seem fine with it? A few month ago she hated the Southside and FP. What changed?”
“I don’t know (Y/N), i really don’t know. But maybe you should talk with him. You can stay here for a few days. Your dad is visiting old friends a few towns away. But you need to talk to FP.”
“Thanks mom. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
And that’s when you heard a door being closed very loud and aggressively and a car driving away with screeching tires.
Some running footsteps later, there were some knocks on your mom’s trailer door.
You were sitting on your mom’s couch still crying, but you could still his blurry silhouette.
“Nancy is (Y/N) here?”
“She is, but it’s better if you leave her alone for some time.”
“No Nancy. I don’t know what she told you, but I need to see her. I need to talk to her.”
“No chance. You hurt her pretty bad and she needs her time.”
“Nancy please let me talk to her. She needs to know what happened.”
“FP believe me she does know and now please leave and let her calm down before you two talk. She won’t stay here forever she just needs some time.”
And that’s when he left. He left to god knows where.
-His POV-
Alice Cooper knocking on my door with tears in her eyes wasn’t something I was expecting on a random Wednesday evening.
I was expecting (Y/N). She was visiting her parents for dinner and should be back soon. When I heard the door opening I thought it was her.
“Oh you’re back. How was dinner with your parents?”
And there she was. Not (Y/N). But Alice Cooper.
“Alice? What’s wrong?”
She was crying standing there hyperventilating.
“No more secrets. No more lies. I should have told you sooner. Maybe something would have been different.”
She was heartbroken but I didn’t know what she was talking about.
“I had your ba- - I had your baby. His name- - I named him Charles.”
My heart sank. Tears started to form in my eyes. She had my baby in Highschool. And all these years I thought she had Hal’s Baby. If I knew sooner that would’ve changed everything. If she had told me back then, we would probably be dating and even be married by now.
“I- - I- - I had to give him up for adoption.”
“Alice. Slow down. Slow down, all right?”
I didn’t know what to think or do.
“He came to see me and I turned him away. And know he’s dead. He’s dead because of me. I killed our son.”
She was sobbing uncontrollably.
My son.
My son I just found out about is dead.
“Do- -? Do you remember, FP? In high school?”
“Yeah, I remember Alice - - but..”
“I’m sorry. I- - I made a mistake. I’m sorry.”
She was sobbing. And then she tried to leave. I couldn’t let her leave like that. I was holding her back on her shoulders
“No wait. Wait Alice.”
“No, I have to go. Betty and Jughead are waiting for me”
“Are you talking about Chic?”
“No Chic- - Chic is someone else. Chic is- - You don’t understand what I’ve done, FP. You don’t understand what I’m respon- - responsible for.”
That’s when I pulled her in for a hug and let her cry on my shoulder.
“It’s okay. It’s okay. It’s okay.”
We stood there for some time and after I ended the hug I told her to sit on the couch to calm down. And I went to close the door.
That’s when I saw her.
(Y/N).
She was looking really hurt. I don’t know what she heard but I would explain later.
I had to be there for Alice.
And that’s when I closed the door right in her face. I knew where I could find her after Alice left.
After some time Alice stood up. She was still hurt and crying a little but she said she had to leave. Jughead and Betty were alone with that imposter.
And I tried to make her stay but that just made her angry and she ran out shut the door and drove away with screeching tires.
And that’s when I knew where I had to go now.
To find (Y/N).
She saw me hugging her aunt in our trailer and I didn’t know what she had heard.
I just knew how it might’ve looked for her. Especially after we had some fights the last weeks because she had the feeling I was spending more time protecting Alice and her family than I was spending time with her. And she was right.
Alice, Betty and that man Chic were taking all my time the last few weeks.
When I arrived at her parents trailer, Nancy opened.
She told me (Y/N) was there but that I need to leave her alone and give her some time. And that’s what I did.
I left.
I left to go to Alice house to see what Jughead was doing to that man in the Coopers basement.
-third POV-
After three days your mom convinced you to go back to yours and FPs trailer.
You opened the door and there he was.
Sitting on the couch.
He was looking up as soon as he heard the door opening.
“(Y/N)… Let me explain.”
“FP I heard every single word you and her said. I know that she had your baby in high school, she gave it up for adoption and now he’s dead. There is nothing to explain there. The only thing you need to explain is why you never told me that you were dating my aunt in high school. That is a big information I needed to have.”
“(Y/N)… I never told you I had dated her because I thought it would make everything weird if you knew I was your aunts ex boyfriend. I knew you would never say yes to dating me if I told you. She never wanted anyone who wasn’t there to see it in high school to know. She was ashamed.”
“Of course it would’ve made it weird. But you could’ve said something. I’m dating my aunts ex boyfriend. There’s nothing that can change this fact now. I have to live with it. But I have the feeling deep down in my stomach that she’s trying to steel you away from me and you’re completely fine with it.”
“She’s not trying to steal me away from you, (Y/N). She just found out that the man she thought was her son, that she allowed to live in her house, who she treated as her own, isn’t even her son. And her real son is dead. My son is dead, (Y/N). What was I supposed to do? Kick her out? She’s your aunt, (Y/N). I couldn’t do that to her.”
“It’s not only that FP. She is everywhere. She picked you up from prison and if Jughead hadn’t told me I wouldn’t have even know the exact date that you were getting out and I wouldn’t have been there to pick you up. She made you get rid of a body. She made up plans with you after the police found the car. You let her daughter stay for gods sake. I know Betty is my cousin, but you know that that part of my family, doesn’t like me and my parents very much. That changed now after Hal and Alice broke up for some time but still FP. She’s everywhere and now I know that you two were dating and had a baby. I found that out on the day that I got to know that I am pregnant with your baby. I wanted to tell you that, that day.”
“(Y/N).. you’re pregnant?”
“Yes FP i am. But I don’t want to raise a baby with a man that is spending more time with his ex’s family. That family who spent so much time making up crimes that the Serpents allegedly did to make us look but and writing that down in her little paper. FP I don’t now if you two still have feelings for each other but if that’s the case I’m not going to stay here and play pretend.”
Tears were forming again in your eyes. He didn’t understand what you were trying to say.
“No (Y/N), I don’t have feelings for her. No. I just had the feeling that I had to help her with that body and all after what happened with Jason. I didn’t want my son and his girlfriend to make the same mistakes I did. At the end of the day Jughead is my son and he’s involved with that body and all. And at this point he’s your son to you have to understand.”
Yes, Jughead was like a son to you even tho you are just a few years older than him and he saw you as a second mother. You were more like a mother to him than Gladys ever was.
“I get it FP. But you need to choose. Do you want to be with Alice or me and our baby. Yes Jughead is involved with the murder now but what about all the other stuff. Her making little comments about you needing sex after jail time. Her coming to our Trailer in her sexy outfit to say thank you but leaving directly as she saw me. I’m not going to share you with Alice. Yes she’s my aunt, she’s your age but she still betrayed the Serpents and wrote a lot of lies about our second family. And I’m your fiancé. I love you, FP. I really do, but you have to choose.”
And he did.
He choose.
He choose you and the baby.
“(Y/N) I love you too. I’m telling Alice that I’ll be there for her family because of Betty and Jughead but there nothing more between her and me. I’m sorry I made you feel that way. I should’ve said something to her sooner.”
And that’s when he decided to keep the fact a secret, that there was still a little love for Alice and that he still wished she told him about the baby back then. He wished they would’ve ended up together.
But he had you and he loved you more than he loved Alice. He wanted to marry you to make Jughead, your baby and you his official family. And maybe Jellybean would join soon.
