The Journey Begins

Having not been a very diligent writer, many who might follow me here on tumblr don't know about my $100k challenge. Essentially, I thought I could take a small amount of capital and turn it into $100k; and I'd do it by the start of 2020!

Having never traded, and with so many of my projects ending badly; it is a huge disadvantage. So, in an effort to save the mission and create something incredible for my children, I will be reassessing the project, and the manner in which is carried out.. So stay tuned and find that little gold nugget that could help you achieve your dreams, so stay tuned!

Another Rookie Mistake on the Forex Desk

I think it happens to us all, you get up and leave the computer with nothing happening; when you come back, you’re suddenly in a major breakout. When I started yesterday mornings trades, I had intended to stay in a long position on the CAD/CHF pair; only because one of the goals in the Apiary fund, is to get 5 trades with 25 PIPs profit, on transactions that are open for more than 24 hours. 

This is what it looked like when I first started. The pair was in a position to go one way or the other, it hadn’t reached the secondary support level yet, however the stochastics says we were in over sold territory and the price was about to go up. 

I hate these situations and I tend to be a little impatient when trying to wait for the perfect set up. I know it’s a major flaw that I am working on. Reporting my major loses and my major wins to these blog post helps to keep me accountable.

Now at first things seemed to be going well; it would start to dive a little bit, but it would come back. If you can see in the picture above, I knew that there was a good possibility that the price would shoot down before going back up to a higher resistance level. Unfortunately, I didn’t take into consideration just how far it could go to that secondary support level ( almost 70 PIPs!) and I ended up loosing big time.

I set this up to be a 24 hour trade, knowing that the price would fluctuate up and down, I’d been given advice to give the price action plenty of room to move without being stopped out. Now I’ve seen this work for other people, but I’m not one for long term trades, so I stink at setting them properly.

ONLINE GAMING!!!

I’ve never been a big fan of online gaming, mostly because I’ve never been able to get into it due to lack of computer, time, internet, money, ect,ect. However things are changing, I no longer need to go out and spend several hundred dollars on the latest product from Sony of Microsoft.

I’m talking about playing on your cell phone.You heard me your phone is now the greatest console you could ever have ( maybe that’s a little too far). What I mean by that is this; unlike your Xbox or Playstation, there is no expensive console for you to buy (just your Phone), you don’t have to go spend $35-$50 for the newest game that just came out, and you can play anywhere, anytime. In fact, there are so many free games out there, that I am amazed playstation hasn’t tried to figure out a way to make money of it, because soon their consoles will be obsolete.

That’s neither here nor there; my point is, you have all the entertrainment you need right at your fingertips. However, we can now take it just a bit further, and get paid to play games. That’s right, CASH MONEY PEOPLE!

There are a lot of games and apps that allow you to make a little bit of money everytime you play them. They can pay you in cash, gift cards, prizes, and my favorite, cryptocurrency! Daily Trader

I finally did it! I was able to complete the task in my Apiary Fund account; and allowed to me to move up a level to Silver 1. i know that this doesn’t mean a lot to you because unless you are aware of who Apiary is. I am very proud. There are three levels to each metal, I’m on Silver 1, then 2 and 3 (which should take about 3 -5 weeks depending on how I do) then I’ll be in Gold. Another Week of Ups and Downs

I’ve been spending all week trying out a variety of trading techniques and strategies; all while trying to achieve one goal in my Apiary Fund trading account. My goals was simple, Make 10 PIPs profit 3 times in a row. Sounds easy enough right.. Well it wasn’t for me. 

I had it the very first time I tried; I set my TP (take Profit) at 10 PIPs and my SL (stop Loss) as 3 PIPs, I picked a trend and I let it go. I was right, I got cashed out right at 10 PIPs but when the transaction closed, the price dropped to 9.8,9.7,and 9.5. So I didn’t get credit, and after that, I kept making stupid mistake after stupid mistake losing so many times and so many pips.

Luckily, I kept all of my trade sizes small and didn’t end up loosing much money for the account (it’s a demo account anyway, but I treat it like real money for a reason). I plan to get back to the basics and get this final trading task completed so I can move on up. After all, if I can’t plan a simple 10 PIP run, how do I ever expect to make any money at this?

I’ll let you know what happens on Monday. I’ll pick up trading on Sunday night into Monday morning and once I have something to report; I’ll be back.

I’ll be posting on my regular blog as well, and sending anybody who is interested in the daily journey I am under taking to achieve financial freedom; check back often.

Get a JOB or Tough it out?

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, I have a brand new business venture that demands my attention as well as my resources; however, those resources are drying up and running out sooner than I had imagined. So what am I to do? 

If I stay home and just carry on, with in 2-4 months I’ll be looking for work anyway because the way things are right now, that’s how long it’ll be before I have any money to call my own. However, I will be mastering my craft during this time. I may not make much if anything at all; but it’ll be on my terms. 

If I go back to work, I know that my passions will fall by the way side as going to a job everyday for me is soul crushing. I can never get work that I enjoy because nobody is willing to hire me. So I end up working in dreary call-centers where everything goes and it doesn’t matter who you are just if you can fill a seat. I take these jobs for 3 to 4 months because that’s all I can take, before I start to loose a piece of myself I said I’d never give up again.

But I do need to start getting a solid stream of income soon, otherwise, I’ll be forced back to one of those dreary places. I can’t let that happen; but I also can’t let myself drive things into the ground. So, is there a medium ground?

I think so. I will continue to work on my dream and passion for one more month, if I can not start creating a sustainable and renewable, growing income; I will find a job to support the business.

Ebooks

So I am trying to get back to some of my roots in my down time and get back to writing. However, it’s been many years since I’ve really written anything requiring any thought or imagination. I decided, in light of this, to start reaching out to others who write online as well as offline. 

I figure while I am trying to network for this and that, I’ll just write a few blog entries and maybe create some e-books. I know how to do those things, but where to start, what to write about? This is what stops me dead in my tracks.

MAybe I should write an article about over coming writers block... once I figure out how too... LOL

Anybody have any ideas I’d love to hear them. Helpful hints tools and hacks are great too!
