1. Fuck terfs 2. Aphrodite is actually depicted as gender fluid 3. Fuck terfs 4. We literally have statues from ancient Greece that prove this. 5. Fuck terfs. Unfollow me if you are one
This has been a PSA.
It makes me so sad that so many TERFs have Aphrodite devotee blogs that they spread hate and bitterness towards transgender individuals all over…I just don’t understand how you can be mean and bitter all over a blog meant to be for a goddess who I can not imagine ever endorsing such hatred towards people who are struggling to be compassionate towards themselves already.
“And Aphrodite came from her home, bringing warm embraces and soft glowing light, and she said, ‘love your scars and imperfections with the fierceness and intensity of the love that you feel for me. Do this for me in my absence, and you will know I am listening.’ And so, the boy did.”
hey full offense but the ‘use the right pronouns even if the person is horrible!’ statements arent made to coddle horrible ppl, its saying ‘dont view correct pronouns as a fucking privilege that can be taken away once people decide you’ve fucked up enough’, misgendering someone on purpose is transphobic no matter what bc it equates transphobia as a ‘punishment’ for bad people, pronouns are a part of baseline human respect, its that simple
If it is acceptable to deadname and misgender “bad” people, any random trans person will conveniently become “bad”.
Hot take but having an “X” gender marker is no more dangerous than “M” or “F” and singling out the ENTIRELY OPTIONAL marker that some of us have SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR is nbphobic.
Also the discussion about gender markers is always blatantly america-centric, like in my country we tried asking to be legally recognised a few years back and the response was “no and also trans protection laws don’t apply to u lot fuk u” so u see. Getting our genders recognised is not only something that is going to happen sooner than getting rid of gender markers, but also something that is necessary to getting us legal protections and equal rights to binary trans people.
Also I think it’s kinda funny people are making this fuss over gender markers (something most people never see, but do have some relation to the legal rights of people) and not titles (something far more people will be aware of and can just as easily out u) Like if it makes u feel unsafe just don’t use it. But NB folks are adults we can all make that decision ourselves
I mean shit can u all not aknowledge X may be SAFER for some people than M or F? Everyone knows I’m trans cus I got big ass tits and I’m walking around being a Mr who is legally male. At least if I go for X people will assume i’m an attention seeking female which is, as we all know, much safer than being assumed to be a trans woman.

Transphobes keep following my Artemis blog and absolutely refusing to respect it when I politely ask them not to because I am transgender myself, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can help firmly establish a boundary that’s repeatedly knowingly being violated?
Hi there! I'm new to hellenistic Polytheism. Apollo and Aphrodite are two deities that I feel the closest to as of now, but I'm a bit concerned about one thing. I've seen so many people talk about Aphrodite as a goddess of only womanhood and femininity. I'm a trans man, and I love Aphrodite so much but people's interpretation of her as favoring woman and femininity is scary to me. Is it okay to worship her while distancing myself from too much femininity?
Hi! Not to worry!
I work with Aphrodite and I am genderfluid. I used to have these exact same worries when I first started working with her.
I have amazing news for you:
Aphrodite has a soft spot for the trans community for various reason:
Not only is Aphrodite a strong supporter of the trans community, but in one of her earliest forms, she used to be genderfluid. This version of Aphrodite is called Aphroditus. Aphroditus is portrayed as having a female shape with a phallus. There is a whole Wikipedia article dedicated to Aphroditus here.
The current female version of Aphrodite became more popular and over time Aphroditus merged with her child, Hermaphroditus. Hermaphroditus is the god of gender expression, and fierce protector of the trans community. I personally still work with Aphroditus and see him as another side of Aphrodite.
Aphrodite prefers self-love over self-hate. She would much rather see you happy being who you are instead of forcing yourself to be feminine because while Aphrodite is a strong defender of women, it’s usually in context to sexism. She does not tolerate women who are nasty towards the trans community.
Aphrodite being a defender of women and femininity became a thing when people were trying to bring back paganism to the mainstream back in the 70s and 80s. This was a time when trans rights were not talked about as they are today. The idea that Aphrodite ONLY protects women and femininity is pretty dated.
Aphrodite loves men who are effeminate, women who are masculine, trans people who are true to themselves and anyone who is brave enough to be who they are in a world that tries to make you something you are not. She loves love and wants people to be happy with who they are and love themselves.
I hope this helps.
Hi I hope you don’t mind me hoppin on this post!
Anon, I’m a trans male devotee as well and *in my experience* My Lady couldn’t care less about my gender expression. She’s more interested in the color of the rose petals you place on her alter than the gender you are, and she’s helped me return to the track of becoming a professional makeup artist, which I distanced myself from for so long because I didn’t realize femininity can exist in trans men as equally as it can in anyone else, it doesn’t mean anything bad.
And if you aren’t comfortable with that femininity, and you need to distance from it, I can’t imagine she would treat you differently than if you were to associate closer with femininity. A lot of people associate her with only love and beauty and, while those are both parts of her, she’s also self-love. Learning to care for yourself and your body, even if it’s not the right body right now, is something I’ve only found within working with her [And Artemis as of Very recently].
I’ve never felt more, I don’t know…somber sadness? I suppose? From Aphrodite than when we are on the topic of the people who want to use her name to tarnish transgender people and the transactivism community. I assure you, she does not and will not be upset with you just for being who you are as long as the person you are is one that is good, or at least trying to be.
Also Aphrodite is a fierce momma bear! She loves you no matter what! Remember that you are loved and supported!
Hey
If you’re an Aphrodite or even partially an Aphrodite devotee blog that’s not run by someone who constantly posts about how much the Goddess must hate trans women or trans men, can you like or reblog this post?
I really would like to find some more devotee blogs but I can’t seem to find more than five or six that aren’t like that on my own, and I really would rather not follow someone who brings bitter anger towards complete strangers onto their devotee blog just because those strangers are transgender.
aphrodite says fuck terfs
Aphrodite says fuck terfs but in a nice way because she’s Gentle™️ sometimes
being naked is not sexy. wearing a white 18th century shirt with poofy sleeves tucked into a pair of black high waisted trousers is sexy. there are no exceptions

Awaken.
There’s no better time than the present to reinvent yourself.
Hello! I’ve made this blog a while ago, but I finally decided to make a use out of it! So,hi I’m Andrew, I’ve been a witch for most of my life, but I’m just starting out in Hellenism! I am very interested in working with Hera, Amphitrite, Nyx and Apollo, but I also have a certain one for Zeus, Hermes, Athena, Persephone, Hades, Hephaestus, Aphrodite and Artemis! ( I respect them all equally though ) I am part of a coven with a couple of friends, and I mostly practice divination, water witchcraft, but I’m interested in learning about pretty much everything! So, reblog this post if you post about: - Hera - Amphitrite - Nyx - Apollo - Zeus - Hermes - Athena - Persephone - Hades - Hephaestus - Aphrodite - Artemis - Sea/water witchcraft - Divination - Tarot - Witchcraft in general Also, I’m a trans gay guy, so dni if you’re homophobic, a terf, or believe that boys can’t be witches! Thank you!
Aphrodite April day four
My favorite Aphrodite myth is red roses.
In greek mythology all Rose’s were originally white, no exception.
Aphrodite was boasting to the gods that she could make anyone fall in love with anyone, which irritated all the gods. Zeus decided in retaliation to her boasting he would make her fall in love with the hunter Adonis. Him being a hunter drove Aphrodite wild with worry, because its dangerous. But here is where the real prank lies, as Zeus had Adonis gored by a wild boar.
As Adonis lay dying Aphrodite descended from the heavens in a golden chariot pulled by swans. When she rushed to his side she pricked her foot on the thorns of a rose, and where her blood landed the petals turned red. Thus giving us red roses and a symbol of love, passion, and grief
Just a little reminder that Aphrodite LOVES you!
