If there was any question of Netflix’s increasing reign in the current media landscape, a few new developments will surely sway you to one side.
That looks bad. Maniac sounds good though.

Guillermo del Toro Casts Michael Stuhlbarg in His Next Movie, Which Is Just the Best News
Maybe he'll make a good movie this time.
Smile!
Spoiler. Shit
Blondes in Quentin Tarantino movies
I see a Tony Scott movie in there.

Daniel Day-Lewis with Michael Mann behind the scenes of The Last of the Mohicans (1992)
Watch a documentary on Michael Mann’s work with actors.
How much of that movie exists if the current Mann shot it?
March 4, 2016. This movie isn't real right now that's so far out and we've only got this trailer to go on. Malick Power.
“I will now reenact what I like to call: what happens when murder goes wrong” Bronson (2008) dir. Nicolas Winding Refn
Messy as hell. It is my new city curated garden plot though and I'm eager just to repair it, nevermind what produce I might cull. Which, is nothing to sneeze at on day one.
The Phantom Pain
The last game I played was Snake Eater. Well, just a bit of Guns of The Patriots. And Ground Zeroes, which was a shell of PP, so it takes some further reacquainting with the breadth of Snake's (I can't remember why he's called Boss now) abilities. But it's fun gameplay. Especially once the Mother Base component opens up, which is really early. And it's fun. And seemingly not too-too strenuous an RPG tree, if the player is even average in collecting GMP. And wow, does the game start with a bang. That prologue?! Most games would be happy to go out with that bang. Begs the question is the finale worthy. One can't help imagine Kojima directing Kiefer to make a better giddy-up grunt.
Big Game
So what the hell happened to Jim Broadbent and his little coup?!
Wolfenstein: The New Order
Post prologue on the Hard (3rd most difficult) difficulty and I certainly enjoy the look as well as the feel of combat. Picking up meds and ammo, which so far seems to be a constant, isn't smooth enough--whatever the difficulty. Also, the game as a little hitch when you Game Over. Fast approaching its value of twenty bucks. Looking forward to a Saturday afternoon just mowing fools down.
Public Enemies
I like the cinematography better now. I used to hate. I still very much dislike the thing Mann's is on someone's shoulder, almost in their ear. I think... think he first did that in The Insider and that shot is still like whoa. Now? Stop it! And the Bale/Crudup nascent FBI stuff is much more affecting now that we are so far post-Snowden nobody even gives a shit. At the time of release though, they were just suits. And the only effective scene either had was when Bale carried Cotillard out of the interrogation room after that galoot whooped on her. And the Depp/Cotillard doomed romance just doesn't even come close to DeNiro/Brenneman. It's almost embarrassing how miscalculated it is. I think we're at a point now where that central Mann-question: "what's the action" or "what's the juice" is all he cares about. And it used to be fun. I'm not sure if it's changing times or this viewer is changing but by and large his protagonists are just assholes. And yet, they are supposed to be so cool. Next? Bale as Ferrari? Where do you think the humanity will be in that? Where was the humanity in Blackhat, wherein Mann almost literally ripped Thor from the Marvel films, stole his humor function, and gave him hacking skills.
A Dance With Dragons
The realpolitik toward the end is a drag and a half, other that an exceptional fantasy novel. Parsing some of the sentence structure and Martin's preferences--there's nothing new there. Let it be said Benioff & Weiss might be making good television (most of the time), they're also making an awful adaptation.
Make America Great Again
Was thinking about getting one of those awful hats to see what kind of dope gives me a hell yeah, but the damn things are $35.00. Further, I would ask the question: when exactly was it that America was great?
The ride (round-trip) to visit the physical therapist.
This is just coming off flat. And I'm not sure how to read that. Counselor and Prometheus both had banging trailers and the former is a minor classic, the latter utter shit.
