Fiddling an old worn-out deck of cards in her hands, Ruby twisted the pack in her fingers as she approached the other. When she wasn’t helping everyone else, or doing her own job around camp, the brunette was going stir-crazy from boredom. She didn’t realize how much she had taken for granted until it was all gone, but a game of cards would probably keep her entertained for an hour, at least. “What do you say? A game or two?”
There were spare moments that Monte had in peace; some of which he spent just watching the rowdy scene of the camp. Recently, he found another pencil that hadn’t been worn down to an inch and was lightly tracing the features of one of the children when Ruby popped out of nowhere. Not a lot of things startled him, but when he was in a certain head space, he didn’t pay attention much. He barely jumped an inch; though, her words were properly processed after a few seconds. “Maybe another time.” He murmured shortly.
