It lurks in the depths…

your art is so pretty omg omg i love
TEEHEE THANK YOOUUU 💖💥 I just love drawing people and faces it’s one of my favorite things ever
Ok, it's taken me SIX YEARS to make this. But I did it! It's done! Please watch it!
(No AI used fuck AI)
It's my first animation project, which is why it took so long. I had to learn to animate to make it. It's only a bit over 2 minutes, but I made it the best I possibly could. Please please please watch it. I am so proud of it.
It's a trailer for my first novel- a late YA scifi/superhero book.
Is it absurd to make a fully animated book "trailer" for a book that's been out for 6 years, with voice acting and commissioned music (by the fantastic @plottwiststudios) ? I mean yes. Of course. I'm not even doing this for real marketing purposes because this is a ridiculous thing to do. I don't even really think it'll sell books but the process of making it made me really really happy.
I love my fictional disaster queers, and I love my book, and when I was a kid I thought I'd grow up to be an animator. I've always loved animation, and I really, really enjoyed making something animated myself. I'm really proud of how it turned out.
Please watch it. Please share it.
If it does make you actually want to read the story, you can get it as an ebook, paperback, or audiobook. (the ebook is currently free)
I start my next animation project- a fake anime opening credits for book 3 in this series, starting next month.
Please Reblog!
HELLO (sorry for screaming i was just Very Enthused) i saw your bloodymary / cosmic mermaid art and was ENTRANCED
A. It is Beautiful and i want to stare at it for years
B. do you have any headcannons/thoughts about grace's dream/vision? and simon, and/or anything in general about that World™? :D absolutely no pressure or anything intended, i just also love mermaids and have been inhaling any and all bloodymary/iron lung/PHM mermaid art (for the closest reference please picture the elmo snorting cocaine meme)
HELLO TO YOU TOO!!! Tysm for the kind words I’ve been having so much fun drawing these two! 💖💥
This au is largely inspired by Dredge (horror fishing game)! Still working out a lotta details, but to break it down, Grace is a microbiologist who has been called to this sleepy seaside fishing town by Stratt in order to study the strange phenomenons occurring within the local ecosystem (eldritch horrors are afoot)
One particularly stormy night, he finds himself called to the sea, unsure of why, he follows anyway. It’s then, standing on the edge of the shore, that he looks into the water and sees a pool of red blooming from below the surface; the lights of a mysterious creature twinkling back at him from the depths… 👀
Recovering from autistic burnout as a high-masking adult:
To recover, you literally need to manually learn skills that most people learn as a toddler
You need to learn what makes your body uncomfortable, and what to do to fix it
If you are high-masking, that usually means that you have learned to ignore every distress signal your body sends unless it is a distress signal that a neurotypical person would recognize. People have likely been unintentionally gaslighting you about your lived experience your entire life
If you feel bad or panicked for no reason, stop and try to pay attention to your body. Are you tense? You are likely feeling physical pain somewhere. If you've been gaslit about your pain your entire life, you might not be able to identify it.
Go through a sensory checklist.
SIGHT: Try closing and covering your eyes. If this gives you relief, the lights are probably too bright. You may also need differently-colored lights
SOUND: Cover your ears. Does this give you relief? If so, you may need earplugs or noise canceling headphones. You may also benefit from a neutral or pleasant background noise, like soft music or brown noise.
TOUCH: Are your clothes uncomfortable? Your chair? Your body? Do you feel greasy, like you need a shower? Do you need softer, sensory-friendly clothing?
TASTE: Do you need to brush your teeth or tongue? Would chewing on something help?
SMELL: Is there a strong or unpleasant smell in the room? Do you need to clean or empty a trash can? Would an air purifier help? Would a pleasant smell like a candle help?
INTEROCEPTION: Are you hungry? Thirsty? Tired? How is your posture? Are any of your muscles tight or sore? Scan your body slowly from head to feet, tensing and loosening each group of muscles. Going for a walk or doing a series of quick stretches may help a lot.
Learning how to do this stuff is not intuitive, if you've had an entire lifetime of gaslighting telling you that everything hurting you isn't a big deal and you're being dramatic over nothing.
This takes time, it takes work, it's not intuitive, and it's hard. Most people forget how hard it is, because they learned this as toddlers.
If you want to recover, you need to relearn your whole body. And get over your idea of "normal" and just wear the damn sunglasses and put on the headphones. If people stare, fuck em. You're disabled and they can deal with that.
THIS! THIS! THIS!
More of my BloodyMary au where Simon is a fish man (can you tell I really like mermaids)
French people when you call it bukake and not "nut a la visage" and shibari instead of "corde attacher l'submissive"
Pisse? In le pantalons???
Mon tabarnak j'vais te décâlisser la yeule, câlice!
the edit is funny, but I cannot emphasize enough that the original article also killed me
jeu video de competition
I really struggle with colours and want to try and push myself more, so I made my own little palette challenge thing to try encourage myself to try different things!
My ask box is wide open so if yall have any questions (could be bloodymary stuff or otherwise) or things you wanna shout at me feel free to do so!
“Like stars…”
More BloodyMary for yall <3
Y'all for real please do these. Even if you're certain your posture doesn't suck. One day you will wake up with impinged shoulder pain like I did and let me tell you it fucking HURTS. Do these exercises even just once a week and it will make such a difference. Especially my fellow creatives out there, stop shrimping over your work and go do these right now. RIGHT NOW.
Also, if you’re even a little concerned about getting a hump or having trouble standing fully upright in your old age, this is how you prevent that. If you want to be up and about when you’re old you have to start when you’re younger. And keep in mind there is no bad time to start and it’s never too late. Starting today is way better than never starting at all.
HELLO I haven’t posted anything here in forever lmao anyway here’s #BloodyMary
Various doodles,, Deltarune spoilers (weird route) for the first one!! the others have no relation to Deltarune
I’m sorry but what was going on in the weird route that was very unsettling

it's sad to me that cis people never apply their "loved one with a wanted-pregnancy" script to medical transition. like cis people often indicate they don't know how to react to hearing about medical transition, but a huge portion of that social script is directly applicable.
tell someone "congratulations!" tell them "I'm so happy for you. I know you've been trying for a really long time." ask them "do you need help with anything?" throw them a party with loved ones where you all give them some gifts in acknowledgement of how expensive it is. celebrate how far along they are. take photos with them so they have a record of being loved while their body changes. allow them to voice fears and doubts and anxieties about how it'll go, and reassure them that they'll get through the intense medical procedure coming up & you'll be there for support no matter what. let them tell you about the gross parts and laugh together. really listen to them when they talk about how amazing and profound it is that the human body can do this. share in their excitement for beginning a new stage of their life.
If there are complications, comfort them and help them navigate what's next. If they lose access suddenly due to finances or criminalization, treat it like a miscarriage and hold them while they grieve.
