Totally get it! As somebody who isn’t 5’0, white and super skinny, it totally feels isolating sometimes when you are reading an x reader which seems to be more of an oc than anything else!!

Like the whole point is that the insert is vague enough that anybody can insert themselves in and that doesn’t really work when you make the face claims incredible specific and constantly refer to specific features in it!

It’s hard when you bring it up and people’s immediate response is ‘well you write it then’. Just asking for people to tag correctly if they don’t want to actually make it an x reader 🥲

Your words explain it perfectly too! These face claims don’t even seem to fit most white woman too so I don’t understand why they think everyone would even fit this strict image!

Even worse is the “write it if you want more” but these ppl who get written for in mind don’t ever have to complain or ask to be even considered!

Trying to read f1 fics but it’s mostly catered to white women hurts a bit.I try to ignore the photos most of them use but it’s kinda hard when it like 80% of the photos used 🤷‍♂️

Is it really x reader- At least tag that shit oc x reader at most if it’s only fits for a certain type of women like can we at least add a variety of pictures instead of the same type of white women ppl use.They have sometimes at most use 10 photos of random women photos and y’all can’t slap some brown and black ppl in the mix

Maybe this is a stupid rant but I want to enjoy some fics from a fandom I like but it’s a kinda hard to enjoy or feel like I fit in when I see no diversity

There are fics out there that do cater to more ppl but shouldn’t that be the norm for tags as x reader who is meant to be anyone no matter the person!

I’ve read fics on here that have managed to have more diversity and include more people cuz is that not the whole point!

ive said this and i agree with it wholeheartedly. this, along with the constant complaints flooding the x reader tags. "i hate the ___ pet name. i hate the ____ kink. i hate this, i hate that." it is sooooo discouraging and not only does it overshadow actual works that are posted under the tag its incredibly rude and annoying to have the entire hashtag flooded with hate and complaints.

in conclusion engage with the fics you like so you encourage writers to put out more of that. like and reblog and comment on the fluff fics you want so bad instead of clogging the tags.

I saw a video that boiled down to men talking about women not being better at sex with men, and I’m like.

Ok so. Imagine from the day that you’re born, every major religion on this planet decided that your body was the home of Sin. That your flesh makes men fall from literal heaven. Even if you’re not religious, this theme of your body being dirty and sinful permeates your culture.

Imagine if you grew up knowing that your sexual partners will be stronger and taller than you. Imagine growing up knowing that the sex you are attracted to commits 99% of all rapes and sexual assaults. Imagine growing up knowing that sex makes you dirty, and that if you are raped and assaulted by someone bigger than you, you won’t be believed.

Imagine having sexual body parts that are never allowed to be shown on screen. Imagine the only women whose body parts you do see on screen are being abused or murdered in some way. Your body parts are dirty and disgusting, like pieces of rotten meat.

Imagine knowing that sex can lead to a lifelong commitment to a child, possibly to multiple children. Imagine knowing that men may not use what protections they have to prevent pregnancy because it doesn’t feel as good. Imagines the protections you have can cause you to gain weight and drop your libido.

Now go be good at sex.
