For the past 16 years I've been administering The Pygmalion Syndrome website, which features a hodgepodge of my fiction, links to ASFR stories and art that I like, cached ASFR sites from days of yore featuring art and fiction, and photos of real statues that I like. Now I finally decided that the time had come for me to take my place in the soshul meejuh revolution. Backup your Tumblrs (Please!)

Hey there everyone! First of all: I’m backing up every tumblr that will let me.

12/7/2018 is todays date, for referencing this later. 

For my legal protection: I NEED YOUR PERMISSION! TO DOWNLOAD YOUR BLOG FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES. I can get in a *lot* of trouble for pulling this much data *without your permission*. With that in mind: I’ve got a google form that’s going to let me back up your data. Fill this out please? I’ve had less than 20 blogs ask for this.

I don’t want to see our history die. Who can I back up? EVERYONE! ANYONE!. EVERYTHING WE CAN. What can I back up: Everything that’s *published* on your tumblr. Drafts, asks unanswered, messages, communications between people that are behind a login screen, I can’t scrape. I’m using the tumblr python .utills scrape. How much space do I have? ENOUGH. I’ve got 4tb now, and I’m compressing files and moving them onto it as we speak. I’ve got the capacity to do 5 blogs at a time. If you visit my paypal or ko-fi, I can get more storage for us. It takes me eighty nine seconds to backup a blog with less than 5k posts. Seriously guys. Sides, mains, if you’ve got your content on it, I want to back it up. If you include an email, when I have a chance, I’ll send you an archived copy of your blog. It will likely be a dropbox file, or a github file, behind a password. Please: Reblog this and tag your people. The more eyes on this the better. ANY TUMBLR IS WELCOME TO ASK FOR THIS. Please. Even if it’s just in case. I need you to ask before I can download your blog. To: Tumblr Jeff D’Onofrio, Tumblr CEO New York City, New York, United States

Dear Jeff D’Onofrio,

On December 17, Tumblr will be banning porn from its site.

By banning “adult content” from your website in truth you categorically ban sex workers regardless of how they are using your platform. You cut them off from the ability to build an audience for their work, and what’s even worse, you declare their very existence as obscene.

Tumblr allows every content creator, artist, or small entrepreneur to build an audience and communicate with this audience at any moment in time - if you do not work in the adult industry of course.

Many brands use social media to sell products. Social media and eCommerce are interlocked. You take this now away from every adult content creator around the globe. And that is wrong.

You mentioned in a blog post titled “A better, more positive Tumblr”:

“There is no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.”

You are wrong: There is a shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content, in particular when it comes to shadowbanning and the ability to also advertise on these sites.

Look, here is what we do:

Sharesome is a site that welcomes all the people that you just kicked off your platform. You gave them time until December 17th to export a backup of their blog to save their years of work. Meanwhile we will develop an import tool, so they can move to us, and we leave you with all the white supremacist Nazi blogs – because we ban that kind of shit.

REBLOG IF YOU’RE A NSFW BLOG

We all have seen the Tumblr communicate about forbidding nsfw blogs or those which have “adult” posts.

They think it won’t cause them any harm, but we are a really big part of the community. Let’s act and tell the staff that tumblr will slowly die after taking this decision. Follow these steps:

First of all, REBLOG THIS POST, so any NSFW blog can post and see it.

Give tumblr the worst mark at the App Store or Play Store

Write a negative comment about how they’re banning accounts and censoring the freedom of expression.

Purpose as a comment below a new site to move as a NSFW community.

If you do this before the 17 of December, we can change this decision. Let’s make the staff hear us. Make tumblr great again, a free place for free minds and free content!!

Personally, I enjoyed every single moment here at tumblr, and I appreciate everyone of my followers and blogs that I follow. If they delete my account… It was a pleasure to know you all. But we can still change this!!!

WoW! Yesterday evening around 8 we reached a new milestone: The thousandth follower decided to add this blog to his or her favorites. I never expected this since the idea of “Statue Garden” was to have a place to secure my picture-collection online.

I always thought that ASFR/Agalmatrophilia/Statuephilia was a rare kink but since that special day in June 2014 when I started to upload my first pictures on tumblr, more and more people came to visit this blog. Maybe we even managed to convert new people liking this kink.

Meanwhile “Statue Garden” has become more than just a place to collect stuff - it is meant as a “Hall of Fame” - to honor the special works and the creative artists beind them.

It became obvious that there are more people into mannequin- or sex-doll-transformations than in marble or metal-statues. Rubber, latex or mindless dolls seem to attract like 70 % of all the visitors of this blog.

I really hope, that those people who create all the nice pictures and videos around decide to go on with their outstanding work. In the past I prepared a list where I named the different artists and also linked ther deviantart- or tumblr-page. Please take a look…an update will be following.

I wish you all the best for the rest of this year and I´m really looking forward reaching the next milestone - 1500 followers.

OP notes: Myth says that a Tyrant created these collars to collect beauties. In fact, some collars exist and are usually referred to “Cursed Collar.” Once put on the collar, the victims harden immediately with their bodies gradually petrified while they still retain consciousness and most of their senses. The 2018 heatwave in Britain just happened to coincide with a debate on in-vitro fertilisation, hence this newspaper cartoon.

A recent chapter title page from webcomic The Acryden. (NB: the “view the latest comic” link is broken; to see the latest comic you have to click on the button which will take you to an earlier page, and then use the “Last” arrows.)

There hasn’t been much ASFR material in the comic so far, although in an earlier chapter some people did magically get frozen and kept alive in blocks of ice. I’m really hoping this image is a foreshadowing of ASFR content to come. The keywords reflect my interpretation of the scene, not necessarily the authors’
